I love the external view of the Queen Air at 8:12. How did you attach the cameras? I'm guessing they're screwed on somehow. (A different view at 7:29) Great video upload.

I'd like to know, too. The view of the airplane is even better at 16:24 when the afternoon sun is shining on it.

I have a GoPro mount that screws' onto the wing. I use the stick on mounts as well.

What a pretty and cherry Queen Air! Flew in the Army version in the late 1960's.

This was a former Army aircraft.

i check the controls and instruments before preflight. What a nice sound those 720's. Used to see them in the Caribbean in the 1970's while i flew Aztec...with jealousy.. LOL>

I do that as well but my main fear is complacency, I fly and skydive every day so I make it a habit to double check everything and do one last dumbass check before takeoff. I also do one last walk around before getting in. I've caught a few things over the years that way.

Ah! You flew into Springfield!! Kerry, You need to check out the folks up in Urbana, OH... Only airport in America that I know of with 3 separate aviation museums on it! And they are building a B-17!!

Cool, I'll do that.

Great content Kerry. Still looking to read "Ferry Pilot" soon. What's that thing hanging off the rudder on the Queen Air? Static wick?
@KerryDMcCauley7 ай бұрын
Yes, a totally worn out and needs to be replaced static wick!

You called Queen air clear of runway...In the UK we say runway vacated as clear is reserved for clearances being given and rread back.
@KerryDMcCauley5 ай бұрын
Interesting, I've flown a lot in the UK and never noticed that.

Kerry, on what attitude does the Queen Air fly...wing cam showed attitude in flight the same as on takeoff roll, yet inside cam shows lower side window frames parallel to horizon during level flight..just curious...thanks
@KerryDMcCauley7 ай бұрын
It's hard to say. The wing seems levell from inside but you're right, it looks a bit nose low from the wing cam.
@larryanderson80497 ай бұрын
@@KerryDMcCauley thanks for the reply....think you mentioned once about the danger of slow flight when in icing conditions...building on underside rear of wings...thought maybe the QA attitude helped with rear wing icing? it was mentioned that a Beech could carry a bunch.

What is the total time on the queen air ?
@KerryDMcCauley7 ай бұрын
I'll have to check. I think about 5000 hours but I could be way off!
