I remember this being shown on PBS here in the L.A. area in the early '80's.

I’ve been Lowriding since the early 70’s. To me car show are nice to see everyone’s creations. But, the real show is on the BLVD. I’ve always said why build a beautiful ride and keep it in the garage. Be proud of you ride and cruise it. 😎🎉😇🙏🏽👍

I remember going to a car show in Phoenix Arizona My Hometown Back in 81 I seen Ralph carrillo's 63 convertible I seen traveling man's 62 and various other Hoppers from around the valley including Tucson having a hopping contest even Gary may I think he was there also with a 63 Impala Lopez brothers were there also I've been low riding with my brothers since 77 and I'm still low-riding now I got a 72 blue Monte Carlo just like the one in Boulevard Nights everytime I take it out they look at me is like The Boulevard Nights that makes me feel good and I also got a 60 Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop on the works

These were the days people, In my days lowriders were all i ever thought about. I remember cruising San Gabriel Park Albuquerque New Mexico, with my older brothers listening to Disco 89.1 FM. But to me the best part was getting the rides ready for the blvd.
