How to install low voltage deck lights and lighted post caps. Using lighted post caps also helps protect the wood posts from rotting.

Good video. I am helping my son rebuild his deck and we used a router to groove the top of the rail and ran the wires through the groove so no wires can be seen at all

What size Forstner bit was that... 1" or was it larger?

I used a 2.5" Forstner bit. 1" auger bit. Then .5" drill bit to shoot up into the hole from under the handrail. The 2.5 (or larger if you have a 6" post) gives you some room to tuck your wire connectors in easy. Good luck!
