When I came home from Desert Storm/Navy, I almost became a trucker, because my father was a trucker in the Army. I even went out to the truck driving school out in Elizabethtown,Pa. to check it out. In the end I decided to follow in the family business (Plumbing), because my PTSD would'nt of been good Idea to be an over the road trucker. lol. Btw, I'm out in Collegeville...and I always yield and watch for truckers. Dad told me back in the day truckers were called "knights of the road", and he taught me to have the utmost respect for truckers.

Another fun video. I love that word. We used it in the1980's and 1990's without any pushback. It was never meant to be derogatory, it was just an expression. At 62 I still use it and I laugh when I do. Keep the videos coming and don't ever apologize for that word.

It will all come back to you brother you've been out for a while I have been to Philly 4/5 times and my hat is off to you you're having to do it every day lol but I know what you mean about having an old truck me and my wife own 13 trucks now and the newest one is a 1993 KW My truck I drive is a 1985 KW let me get this right cuz people will sit there and say they didn't make a 400 big cam Cummins!! The old-timers called it a 400 big cam Cummins but it's a 4 big cam Cummins with 550 HP with a 15 speed. This new trucks with emissions with dps and I haven't to regen I don't trust them! It's too much for a truck. Anyway I didn't mean to write a book good to have you back give it some time it's like riding a old horse you just got to get back in the saddle again! Lol

Brother you are a beast not only backing semi truck but tight street bro you are the best. Question? When you come to a red light do you use the clutch brake or just brake to stop the truck and when you are loaded what gear you start from
@GWHauling-yp7dd4 ай бұрын
I’m going to say Joey was taught to always to start in the lowest gear with any load !!!!! And he always drive the truck with ease and with no harm to it!!!!
@BlueDually4x44 ай бұрын
The clutch brake won't stop the truck, just destroy the clutch brake. It is only for stopping the transmission input shaft when you go to put the truck in gear when you are already stopped.
@Only4Trucks3 ай бұрын
I appreciate that! I usually downshift to a stop, or at least slow enough to throw the truck into neutral. If the truck is newer, and has a good working clutch brake I'll leave it in neutral and before the light change I'll push the clutch in, use low or first gear and pull away. If the truck is older or has a bad clutch brake I may always keep it in a gear so I don't have to grind it trying to get it back in at the time of the light change. But I always start in first or low. Especially when the truck is loaded.

I do apologize, I say it without realizing and I also don't tie that word to anything relevant to someone who is challenged or has any special needs. I have family members of friends and my own and honestly I didn't take into consideration as to the views not necessarily understanding what my friends and family understand. I will gladly not use that word on the channel in the future. I appreciate this comment and your son still being interested in watching!
