Between my muscle deterioration, severe cramping and brain drain, I'm done arguing with doctors about statins. What good is a couple of days of life when it's not worth living and I can't remember it. Increasing my activity level (which I couldn't do on statins) and dietary changes have had a much more profound positive change to my life.

My mother died from statins. Every cstore? Body, is one third cholesterol. Statins stop the liver from making cholesterol. So eventually, your cells die off. Scaring on kidneys, muscle loss pooping in pants, because that shut off valve can't rebuild itself, ect: , and then your brain goes. And you lose your mind. : This is the problem--- Hydrogenated oils r toxic to liver, causing it to make sticky plaque . That sticks in your vessels. Causing high cholesterol readings. Doctors r trained to treat symptoms, not cure you. So they r not taught these things. The AMA is a union to protect jobs. If they cured everything, they would have to shut down clinics and hospitals. How are staff gonna pay bills, if they cure you? Doctor's , "practice " medicine. I use them to diagnose, then heal myself. You can clean your arteries out with k2 as mk7 and d3. It works, but no money in cures.. Stop using Hydrogenated oils too. Google, Mediterranean diet for long healthy life. Watch Dr Berg on u tube. Ever been in a health food store? What happened to my mother was demonic, evil, terrifying, all because of statins. She wouldn't listen to me, only her doctor. He murdered her in a most vile way. And it's legal. I cured myself of diverticulitis in 10 days with 3 herbs. Doctors told me there was no cure. There is several cures, for every disease. Bible says, we r to heal ourselves. Meaning it's up to you to study, learn, how to heal yourself. Ever been in a health food store? Be blessed people, for profit only capitalism grinds us to pieces, for profit. Wake up, Satan is real, Jesus said, "be careful, becauze satan is running planet earth." This is his medical system, giving us drugs, like statins. Satan did this.......

I was certainly heading towards dementia until I realised that my statin use could be causing memory loss. Within 3 weeks of not taking it, my short term memory returned, so I haven't taken it since. Unfortunately, my doctor doesn't know that I stopped taking it and is concerned about my cholesterol levels, until I convinced him to check my hdl / ldl ratio on the next test. This he agreed to. I have been on a mostly carnivore diet since March this year and have lost over 40kg and put my type 2 diabetes into remission. I couldn't be happier - just wish my doctor would get on board!

Cholesterol is a precious substance that our bodies make, backed up by millions of years of evolutionary wisdom, and it is used in the making of myeline, the insulationg substance that coats our neurons, which is about 97% cholesterol. Statins artificially prevent the production of cholesterol, which in the long term causes the loss of myeline, shorting out our neurons; in other words, statins INDUCE multiple sclerosis (MS) conditions. Cholesterol is also the prime substance from which we make pregnenolone, from which we make progesterone, from which we make testosterone, from which we make estrogen ... Statins interfere with the production of cholesterol, and therefore with the production of all steroidal hormones, leading to a need for hormone replacement therapies ... if we are lucky enough to get the condition diagnosed. Another use of cholesterol is as a putty to repair arterial lesions. The lesions are often caused by calcification of arterial walls, which results from lack of vitamin K and/or lack of acidity in the diet (some stupid people believe we need to consume more alkaline, like a religion), the excess calcium there causing the arteries to become hard and brittle. And if we are older than middle age, we may fail to repair the arterial cracks due to lack of vitamin C and the amino-acid lysine, both of which we know from evolution are hard to get in the needed high amounts for the production of collagen. So, as a last resort, we use cholesterol to patch the arterial cracks; which was noted but incorrectly assessed to mean that cholesterol was the CAUSE of the cracks, when in fact it is there to patch them. The intentionality of all the cholesterol deceit in the medical literature is best attested by the use of such terms as "HDL cholesterol" and "LDL cholesterol", both being contradictory terms. HDL and LDL stand for "high density-" and "low density-LIPOPROTEINS". Lipoproteins are a type of proteins. Proteins are not fats. Cholesterol is a fat; therefore is not a protein. Therefore, neither HDL nor LDL are any such thing as a "type of cholesterol". HDL and LDL are lipoproteins, which are HUGE compared to the size of a cholesterol molecule. They are proteins that are thousands of amino-acid units long, curl into ball shaped wicker-basket-like meshes, with a lipid-friendly side to the inside, and water-soluble to the outside. Their purpose is to transport fats in the blood. Many kinds of fat. Sometimes they carry cholesterol; sometimes they carry triglycerides; sometimes they carry vitamin E. You have no way to know what kind of fat they carry at any moment without opening them up; and they are too small to use tweezers. Assuming that they are always carrying cholesterol is definitely wrong, absurd, and unscientific. And the difference between HDL and LDL is their size. LDL is about half the size of HDL; HDL can carry up to just over 1000 molecules of cholesterol. But they could be carrying any other fat. And even if we could assume HDL and LDL are carrying cholesterol, the cholesterol they carry is the same; there aren't multiple "types of cholesterol". It is as if we were to say that toilet paper in 30-roll bags is "GOOD toilet paper", but toilet paper in 12-roll bags is "BAD toilet paper. It is the height of absurdity. Liked and subscribed.

your brain, central nervous system and nerves are fueled by glucose and mineral salts. That means your brain and nervous system run on naturally salty vegetables and the glucose from fruits! Do not be fooled by a current trend that inaccurately claims your brain runs on fat. The truth is, to heal any neurological issues, you must provide an abundance of sugars and mineral salts to your system, not through corn syrup, cane sugar, and table salt, but through fresh fruits and vegetables.
@hails.35063 жыл бұрын
Why do you avoid such fats? I'm curios.
@YouTuber-ep5xx3 жыл бұрын
@@warriorsamongstmen The body is adept at making sugar out of dietary fat. The brain tells the liver to make however much glucose the brain wants, and the liver obliges. Conversely, the body is also adept at making fat out of dietary sugars such as fructose and glucose. This is why serum triglycerides rise upon consumption of sugars - the body has converted the sugars to fat for storage in the adipose tissues for later use..... The human body can, fortunately, be fueled by either fat or sugar or both. Some folks do just fine running on sugar - the low-fat diet. Some folks, like me, get sick by running on sugar, the low-fat diet. Now I run on fat (nearly 3 years), and am becoming well again. I minimize carbs with the objective of hammering serum triglycerides toward zero. No grains, no sugars, no bottled oils.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this succinct, BRILLIANT overview! I'm a 68 year old female (USA). Just a couple days ago I had an annual physical, something I would probably never do if I didn't "need" to have my slightly elevated BP managed. Once again, I was harassed and gaslighted by my PCP to get aboard the statin Titanic. There was no discussion of the risks and benefits to these drugs, just a notepad at the ready for the doctor to write a prescription. I kept saying no, but the coercion attempts were strong, and he ended up telling me that according to the calculator they use for CVD risk, I had a 10% chance of an event OR DEATH in the next 10 years. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get out of the examination room. This happens annually, and it seems every doctor I've been to adheres to the same coercive tactics. My total cholesterol is generally on the low end of the 200s (about 214) and has been since I was in my 30s. I am at a good weight for my height, I'm otherwise healthy, I eat nourishing food and I do long hikes and run/walks through my neighborhood as well as bike. I don't smoke, nor do I have any cardiac issues. Women in my family generally live well into their late 80s. My HDL is usually around 70, Triglycerides are consistently at 90. My HDL to Total Cholesterol ratio is around 3 (I guess nobody uses these anymore to calculate risk). I'm about to give up on the medical industrial complex altogether, as I would like to stay well, feel good and be happy. And now she wants to see me every six months instead of a year. Why??? Thanks for "listening."

It starts with 50 and the longer you manage to keep them off, the more offended the MDs seem to get by you refusing to take any meds. I always felt like i'm sabotaging their business plan. The last 12 years, IF i needed medical care, i've been visiting my veterinarian instead. After all, there is a reason why medical treatments are tested on animals: we're just mammals, too. It is only advantageous that i, in contrast to his furry patients, can tell him exactly where it hurts. Another advantage is that he also works with alternative methods as e.g. medicinal plants, acupuncture, homeopathy and TCM. My advice: go and find yourself a vet like mine! It's amazing how the ER doctors and others I've since seen have said It's good I took myself off the statin and why was I on this particular BP med, that most seem to know the dangers but just prescribe anyway and if the patient says nothing all the better. I was put on Crestor about 15 years ago, and I had muscle pain and brain fog that caused me to take early retirement (not always a bad side effect of statins!) Bring medications you don't want to the pharmacy, and they will dispose of them properly.

In my early 40s my doctor prescribed Lipitor (lowest dose 10 mg) for my slightly elevated cholesterol (220s). My readings immediately went down to around 180s and well within the good guidelines. To my surprise he wanted to jump the dosage to 40 mg tablets. What for? My health plan changed and I no longer saw that doctor. In my 60s Kaiser Permanente prescribed Lipitor again and I experienced notable memory loss and pre-diabetes where I never had a sugar problem before in my entire life. I quit the statin and memory returned and sugar readings dropped. That’s empirical proof to me.

The relative risk reduction trick used for statins is also used for Covid19 vaccines with 70 - 95% efficacy (relative) claimed while the absolute risk reduction is about 1% and NNV (number needed to vaccinate to prevent one case) is about 100. I know of two with permanent heart damage from vaccines, one a marathon runner, in my town of 30k and I expect my GP would be aware, as the respiratory specialist who treated them has been sacked by Queensland health for refusing to be vaccinated, something the local medical community will be aware of. My experience of refusing statins after a heart attack was that I was treated to hostility and gaslighting by the cardiac care nurses after being discharged from hospital. It was a 6 week course on how to look after yourself after a heart attack. All the advice was for a low fat, high carb diet and frankly the rest of the advice was infantile and patronising. I did 3 of the classes until I'd had enough and left. Still under care of my GP and doing well after ditching beta blockers and blood thinners. One size does not fit all.

I have a neuromuscular disease as well. He wants me to go to an 18 week cardio. I told them I have zero energy to do much of anything let alone their intensive cardiac rehab. He wants a one size fits all approach. Meanwhile I’m feeling like garbage and he doesn’t seem to believe me or care.

She ended up being silenced by by her employer with a gag order, and her TV program "Catalyst" was cancelled, with all members from the executive producer down all sacked. Her very logical and extensive investigation showed that it was impossible to gain access to any of the statin research. She was continually told that the research shows that statins were safe and that you will just have to trust us on that. The only problem is that the authorities holding the statin research were financed by the pharmaceutical industries! No different to a drug carte saying that fentanyl is completely safe to use.

Thanks for clarifying all the mumbo jumbo that passes for information. Many doctors enter medicine with the right intentions,that is to help people achieve better health.Unfortunately many are caught up in the system and become pill pushers for big pharma,just as you say sometimes against their better judgement. I had a heart attack march 2019 and was put on various meds. I did not like all of the side effects,when I spoke to doctors they would just tell me this and that was fairly well tolerated or try to down play what I was telling them. In October that year after much research I decided to change my diet to WFPB (whole food plant based).Within 6 months I was off all meds and feeling much better.I am now 62 and avoid going to the doctor since I distrust much of the medical profession.There are some good ones like yourself ,Dr.Neal Barnard,Dr.Jason Fung,Dr.Sam Bailey and others.

There's always talk about statins and heart disease but what about doctors that automatically want you on a statin after a stroke; namely, are statins necessary after a major hemorrhagic stroke? The doctor claims they are using it for its anti-inflammatory effects on the vascular system to prevent another stroke. It's easy to convince a patient that had a 50/50 chance of survival during his first major stroke that he has a higher risk of another stroke if he doesnt take the statin.

I've just about had it with my primary care doctor. I've only seen him for less than a year because of high blood pressure. I'm not the biggest guy in the world, but I do have quite a bit of muscle on me. So after some lab tests he threw me on some blood pressure medication which I understand totally... But told me that my blood pressure was high because I had too much muscle. Explained it as each cell needed to grow new blood vessels and if you have a lot of muscle on your body then you have a lot more blood vessels so that would make my blood pressure go up naturally. Suggestion for curing my blood pressure problems was to not lift weights and lose some muscle tone and that should take care of the problem. He was also teetering on the edge of trying to put me on a statin which I completely told him no. Addressing my diet he only said I should mix in some more greens because I ate hardly any. Totally switched over to the carnivore diet for a month now and I feel great. My blood work I'm sure when I go back in March is going to be amazing.

Age 72 and was prescribed stains..my LDL was in acceptable levels but my HDl was a bit high..in Canada statins are prescribed based on total cholesterol. I don't understand why it's not just based on " bad" cholesterol numbers. The bottom line was I had bad side effects ( stress nightmares) at 15 mg. so I decided it wasn't for me

Why is High HDL a problem? it is not! there are studies that say statins should not be prescribed for people over 70.

The more I read about big Pharma, the more I realise that Hitler wasn’t so bad after all. Monsanto,DuPont, The Hearst foundation and I haven’t even deliberately researched further. Many thanks. Don’t get me started on Covid.

Every time I see my doctor I tell him I have been playing internet doctor. He promptly rolls his eyes back. Doctors don't get into trouble by prescribing the SOC (standard of care). Consequently, even though many of them may have reservations about statins, they won't get sued for prescribing it. Bottom line, if you kowtow at the altar of science, you deserve what you get. Do you own research. As my daughter-in-law, who is a doctor, says '"show me the studies".

Sorry....even the studies used to set standards are rigged in favor of financial gain...thank you big pharma. Science is quoted....then distorted.....no meds for me....

Spot on. I was prescribed a pain killer for broken ribs. I also had thrombocytopenia. I always check out which meds I am prescribed. The ones I had stated not to be given to patients with thrombocytopenia! Binned them & took paracetamol instead. I don’t trust doctors!

@@steveath doctors don't want to do the work. I got a call from the pharmacy to pick up my BP meds. I don't have BP issues (it's perfect) and, after I investigated, the doctor confused me with another patient of a similar name. They may be busy but, take time to see that the job is done correctly.
