Thank you for your great vlogs. I started Keto about 3 weeks ago. I'm an 55y old endurance athlete from Belgium, and started keto primary to become fat adapted and to use fat as fuel. My family was not realy convinced about my choice, so I started on my own and we had to make two different kind of dinner meals every evening. But now my family members are so surprised by the good smelling and good tasting pizza, lasagna, etc I'm making for myself that they started to eat the same meals as I do.... from time-to-time :-) We're making progress :-)

Thanks for what you do. I just started keto the beginning of this year and have used several of your recipes. As for cost, keto is actually cheaper, because you are no longer buying chips and cereal and all of the expensive processed foods. And as a diabetic, I prefer to cook at home and make my own snacks so I can control my blood sugar.

Keto is somewhat cheaper or can be the same with regular food sometimes simply because of the appetite suppresion effect and always satiated. This will be even more true if you're on a caloric deficit, I was eating 1700 cal during my cutting phase (pretty low for a guy but I'm short).. it was a struggle though to even hit 1700, i had to force myself to eat at times

Thanks Myra! Love Torani sugar free syrups. I have them in my meal window (IF) as they can spike an insulin response and knock you out of ketosis + break your fast. I blend a tbsp of sunflower lecithin & cream to my morning coffee/tea. Anything that may raise insulin I keep it all in my feasting window. And it's made a big difference! If you're curious of sunflower Lecithin benefits (not soy) I'll post below. 1. One of the great benefits of lecithin is it breaks up cholesterol and fats in our body so it is very helpful for those wanting to lose weight. Consuming more lecithin means increasing the body’s metabolism. Reduces "bad" LDL cholesterol and may also raise "good" HDL cholesterol. 2. The benefits of lecithin also reach out to people suffering from memory loss. Lecithin utilizes Vitamins A, E, K, and D which promote better concentration and memory. It is very beneficial to students and the elderly who wish to enhance their memory skills. As a matter of fact, those with Alzheimer’s or amnesia are advised to include lecithin in their diet. 3. Lecithin also cleanses the Liver and Kidneys, which is important to those who are suffering from urinary tract infection and those who love to eat salty and spicy foods. For those with Insulin Resistance or Metabolic Syndrome, lecithin is amazing for Fatty Livers (non alcohol) in conjunction with a low carb & IF diet. It also assists with gallstones & gallbladder disease. (*Recommended dose: 1--2 Tbsp daily for Fatty Liver. Can normalize in as little as 5-6 mo together following low carb/IF eating) 4. Protection against heart diseases is one of the many benefits of lecithin. It lowers cholesterol level and prevents toxins from clogging the arteries. People who include lecithin in their diet noticed remarkable development in their cardiovascular health. 5. Other benefits of lecithin worth mentioning are its roles in helping our body absorb better essential nutrients and supporting the movement of our body fluids inside and outside the cells. 6. One of the major benefits of lecithin is it protects our spinal cord and brain cells from damages. We all know how important and delicate our spinal cord and brain are for the whole functioning of our body and lecithin can keep them in good working condition. 7. Lecithin is also beneficial to our skin. If we are taking in enough lecithin into our body, it nourishes our skin and lessens the possibility of dealing with skin problems like acne. Lecithin helps soothe and moisturize skin. 8. Increasing your daily intake of lecithin will very much increase your physical performance, very helpful to those who are into body building and sports and people who are always on the go. Lecithin can boost the body’s energy level without making you fat. 9. If you are suffering from arthritis, you’ll be surprised with the benefits of lecithin especially in helping you deal with this painful ailment. Lecithin contains essential fatty acids that keep muscles, bones, and joints strong and healthy. 10. There are also benefits of lecithin for pregnant women. Studies proved that it contributes to the development of the fetus’ brain and nervous system. Can help breastfeeding mothers avoid clogged ducts. 11. Healthy Brain Function: Can help symptoms of dementia, Alzheimer’s, other memory problems, and treat memory disorders. Don't go crazy. Just 1 (or 2 per day in divided doses) is enough. Too much intake of lecithin can lead to nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or dizziness.

I loved this idea but it was too messy for me so I wanted to share my alternative recipe! Your wrap inspired my sandwich salad! Everything in your recipe is diced up to salad standards and I used a large mason jar to package. The wettest ingredients go on bottom so the base in my jar was a mix of mayo, mustard and salt and pepper (dressing) then I stacked cheese, ham, pickles, olives, peppers, cheese and finally salad of choice...super yummy sandwich salad and less messy! Enjoy!

@LowCarbLove Always squeeze the iceberg lettuce before you buy and make sure to get the one that is light and airy. The you get more green leaves. Now, if you take the core of the iceberg lettuce and wack it on the countertop then flip it over you can pull the whole core can be pulled out. Then gently put your thumbs in the center and pull out very gently to loosen the leaves keeping them in tact. Now you can pull the leaves apart without dealing with white core issues. 😀

Looks delicious! I love it! Try this: Instead of or maybe even in addition to lemon on top of your salmon, try thinly sliced onion and fresh tomato, put the thin sliced onion first and then the sliced tomato on top of the onion and bake it as you normally would. Put multiple pieces from one end of the fish to the other to cover most of it. You can even make this in an air fryer if you're into that. The juices from the onions and tomato keep the fish moist and tasty!

You could also buy frozen salmon, it is way cheaper, because unless you live in Alaska or on the Pacific and catch the salmon yourself, all salmon is frozen the instant it is caught on the large boats, trawlers, whatever you call them, as they are out for 2 weeks before they come back to land and send it to market. Your supermarket will defrost it and sell it to you as "fresh". So save yourself some money, head to the frozen section and buy yourself some salmon and defrost it yourself, you will save yourself a ton of money
