I am a retired MD, past 70. Throughout my life I held a valid license to practice medicine in the US, UK and Italy. What Dr. Fung is saying makes a lot of sense and he is proving it with excellent documentation even though it is still considered a “ theory “. I am neither fat nor diabetic, I cannot offer any personal testimonial, but I am convinced to the point that I started OMAD myself as a lifestyle. I wish we knew better when I went to Medical School or even later as I practiced medicine as an internist. Type II diabetes and obesity are not chronic diseases and can be CURED! hopespringseternal70 - Arrogant much? He can’t be expected to know what wasn’t even accessible or established knowledge during his professional era. That’s not even logical. Just because the internet and foreword thinkers give us access to better ideas, knowledge and culture doesn’t mean we’re somehow superior to those who didn’t get what we have. Previous generations laid the groundwork for the lives we now live. It’s on us what we do with what we have. Most people today can’t be bothered to even educate themselves despite greater access to information than has ever been historically available to the masses - leaving them ignorant and ill equipped to be of much use to anyone else. The more discerning question, since fasting was an integrated part of ancient practice globally, is who buried and reversed this practice? When did they obscure it and who benefited from hiding critical life-supporting information from humanity?

I just broke a 4 day fast. Will eat the next 2 days, then fast 11. This will be my longest fast yet. Why? I started IF eating OMAD 18 months ago. I was XXL and way over 300. Today? About 200 (not sure, not getting into the whole weighing thing at all) and size L. Two months ago started fasting 2 days a week. So eating just 5 times a week. I'm going for longer fasts because I know everything Jason Fung is saying is true and I know it because I've been living it and experiencing it for a year and a half now. Fasting is awesome because its the easiest, fastest, healthiest way to eat. Weight loss is merely a really awesome side effect. Autophagy, HGH, alertness, lower insulin and blood pressure levels, elimination of GERD and IBS, better sleep, more energy, less hunger. Those are the real reasons to fast. Repeat: less hunger. I was a hell of a lot less hungry this morning after 3 days without food than I was an hour after eating a bag of chips back when I was eating frequently all day long every day. It is true that you become more adapted to this the longer you do it. That said, it was never that hard even in the beginning. Hunger is not the hardest part. Everyone assumes they'll be ravenously hungry. Because that's how you feel on every other diet. I know. I've done em. Fasting is different. The challenge isn't hunger. The challenge is habits. So break the bad habits. Save a ton of time and money and actually enjoy eating more.

My doctor told me to stop fasting. Even though it helped with my bowel issues, made me feel healthier, and look healthier. I have had acne since age 9. I've seen skin specialists, been on dozens of medications, treatments, elimination diets, natural skincare, korean skincare, etc. After fasting for 3 days my skin was completely clear and I didn't even touch it, and the sickness I was constantly feeling for years was gone as well.

Unfortunately obesity has been around and long before the 60s and into our times. A Roman physician recorded treating clinical cases of morbid obesity. Roman idealism however encouraged not being morbidly fat, just fat enough to demonstrate wealth. Medieval historians believe the period prized being fat as it demonstrated wealth and power. It goes on and on. Although it’s considered as more prevalent now I suppose because of the creation of fake/junk food manufacturing ramping up in 50s.

There was obesity in the 60 & 70's. I was adopted into a family where extended 50% of relatives were all overweight. They all ate healthy. I was the skin & bones cousin. Slowly over 50 yrs I gained till I'm 50 pounds over. By watching several Drs. Videos I've realized we all developed a pattern of eating that we thought was healthy by eating several small meals a day, even so called healthy snacks. I know I grazed all day. If I'd wake up hungry at 2 am I'd eat something then too. This has become a way of eating fir many people. I even remember Drs telling me if you feel hungry, eat. I know now much more research has been done in dietetics & nutrition. This knowledge is what has been missing for everyone to make informed decisions.

I watched a video someone put out on TikTok or one of those sites. It was a comparison of the people inside a McDonald's he worked in back in the early 80's. He did a new recording nearly thirty years later, and my god, the difference was striking. Almost everyone, workers and customers, were overweight, compared to how folks were decades ago.

I've been fasting for 3 years now after learning about Dr. Fung. I have went from 14.5 A1c to 6.1 A1c no more type 2 diabetic. Fasting also helps your thoughts make you think better & takes away anger 🤬 from within. Fasting is so so beautiful!

Tried the lowering calories diet, did lose some weight but plateaued and made me obsessed with my caloric intake. After using Dr Fung's method (16:8, OMAD, 48Hrs fasting etc), my weight just kept dropping without me getting obsessed with food. Thank you Dr. Fung!

Yeah getting over my orthorexia with 16:8 fasting... I am much less obsessed about food and its purity and haven't gone wild eating fast food when I do eat either... I just eat 2 meals a day now and sometimes a snack in between if my lunch wasn't as filling as I needed but it hardly ever happens

72 failed every diet then got the diagnosis a month ago. thanks to this man i am really enjoying fasting yet am eating with family, just avoid the carbs and do 16.8 most days a 24 hr once a week one 3 day fast and easily lost 10 lbs in just one month. i look forward to a future of reversing many health conditions, freed up from so much cooking shopping etc energy returning and even having the energy to excercise dropping meds and feeling younger. everything he says makes sense and works in practice. i can hardly believe how easy this is to do

I am a Naturopath and my training was all kinds of fasting. I am not overweight due to this and love all the free time IF gives me. No health conditions 73 and still learning. I find this guy to be totally honest and effective and am recommending him to all my friends and family.
HE SAID IT! 😲I don't say it out loud anymore because people get upset...but the last thing that the cancer industry wants is to find a simple cure. That would be killing the golden goose...

Fruits is the most dangerous thing for diabetics, in my reversing diabetes journey i abstained from eating any fruits except of low glycemic index fruits like strawberries, blueberries, avocado, lemon ...... any fruit juice must be avoid they increase blood sugar highly and they can be preserved in our body as fat by the liver so keep away from any fruit juice . and the meal i was eating free of carbs, dairy, starches, bakers, sweets ........ i was eating some nut snacks like Pistachio when i feel so hungry .

Fasting really works. I wanted to lose approx 25 pounds. started with 16/8 and lost like 15 pounds and then plateaued. Then I tried Omad and lost some more and I even tried 36 hour fast. It’s incredible. When ever I fall off the wagon, I’d watch Dr Fung video and motivates me to start Omad again. Thank you so much!

YES Dr. Fung harnessed with life saving information helped millions of people . I had my very serious LIFE and DEATH Crisis way back in the early and late 80s way before the internet was even born so I had no choice but to get my hands on books that just knew about natural human health and how to recover from such Life and Death issues in ones life . These late Doctors saved my life after reading and impementing their advice as follows . 1-Dr. Max Gerson 2- Dr. Ann Wigmore 3-Dr. Bernard Jensen and 3 Dr. Christopher Hobbs and many others . For if I did not find and then read their books taking massive action in my life back then from all that I ad learned then I am convinced that I would have surely been Dead at that time and event in my life . Thank You for reading my short health bio event that I learned from and still do today . Kindest Regards Holistic Chef Barry Anderson
