I made 2 pizzas with this recipe. I cut the dough in half, flattened the dough with water on fingers to shape. Then I cooked each pie for 30 minutes. Took out the oven and added low carb pizza sauce, cheese and lots of seasonings. Brushed edges with oil to prevent drying out. Placed back in the oven for 20 minutes. I let pies cool and cut into 8 pieces. DELICIOUS!!!! Next will be bagels, french toast and waffles!!! Thanks for the recipe!

My recipe uses almond flour and very little eggs. No whipping required. It’s a ‘you can’t mess it up it’ recipe. It takes ten minutes to whip it together and then throw into the oven. It’s tastes like a light flavored wheat bread. It takes like bread. It’s puffy like bread. You can shape it into what shape you want and it puffs up like bread. It took me months of experimentation to perfect. It can be expanded on to make cheesy bread or if you use a sweetener like Splenda or stevia you can make sweet bread with it. I used almond flour because it’s much cheaper than coconut flour. But I bet you could swap out the almond flour with the proportionally correct amount of coconut flour and make a white bread. Or do a flour mix. I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work.

Why would you feel guilty by eating bread? Regular bread is made with flour, maybe psyllium husk or some other grains, salt, water and some sourdough. Regular bread needs time. Nothing to feel guilty as it is a recipe for the last centuries. Her bread is more like a rich cake. Lots of oil, coconut flour containing more fat, lots of eggs. Reminds me of our favorite birthday cake my mum used to make. The cake was in a round form, it was cut twice horizontally and was filled with cream. Milled hazelnut mixed with sweetcream. Every layer was covered with Nutella and on the very top there was cream with cocoa on every piece of the cake. Delicious, hundreds of calories and everybody was happy.
I've been on a Low carb/Keto for life journey going on 7 years, so in that time you know I've tried "Many" LC bread recipes lol This one IMO is hands down the best !! Firstly NO eggy taste & that seems to be the 1 st question, everyone asks' lol Second it is not complicated to make or you don't need to travel to another country for ingredients :) 3rd it doesn't fall flat or deflate when taken out of the oven. 4th was always my complaint about LC bread - It CUTS like bread, no falling apart or crumbling. After the loaf is cool I keep a paper towel around it , put it in a zip lock baggy in the fridge. OH this bread has a PLUS it keeps you regular due to the psyllium powder !!!!

Maybe try a low carb bread mix or buy it already made? I've always gotten great results with psyllium bread.

I'm new to keto, therefore I'm new to trying low carb breads. The few I've tried before finding LCY were yucky, but I really like LCY's Nearly No Carb Bread, and so does my husband, he says it's delicious kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6u1pIR4n6eer68. I gave this psyllium bread a try yesterday, and we like it, too. (If you want to eat a bread item that is over the top delicious!!!, you've got to try her Cinnamon Roll recipe. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHvSq5Wen5drsKM 😋😍 )

Thanks. This looks interesting. At first glance I was put off from trying it because recipe quantities are stated in cups and spoons. But on looking closer at the recipe on your website I noticed that you include alternative metric measurements (in the link below the recipe). Brilliant! I'm going to rush off now to bake this loaf. Thank you very much for a great video and for the foresight to include metric measurements for this recipe.
@LowCarbYumPage5 жыл бұрын
I hope it works out for you. I try my best to provide accurate metric, but being from the US it's tough since we do everything in cups and spoons. Sometimes, I do provide weight in grams for ingredients when accuracy is important.

Brendan... how did it go with the bread?
@bjmullan365 жыл бұрын
@@MsBiz888 Hi. I followed the recipe quite closely except that I used 8 full eggs rather than egg whites. It was an easy recipe to follow and I soon had a reasonably sized loaf. It didn't rise quite as much as the one in the video, I suspect because of using full eggs rather than whites. For a first loaf I was quite pleased. One thing I'd change is that I'd mix the Pysllium husk and coconut flour before adding the water as I found that my finished loaf contained a number of dark spots/lumps of husk - probably I hadn't whisked my mixture for long enough, though it didn't seem to affect the flavour or texture of the bread.. As regards the final product it was good for a first try. It was easy to prepare and bake and it looked good. The texture was quite dense but it sliced easily and the slices held together well. Flavour was OK. I'll eat the whole loaf over the next number of days but I'll try a different recipe next time, perhaps using yeast to aim for a more regular bread flavour.

Good recipe that I think I'll try. Only now I would add is that it would be helpful to have the nutritional content per serving. Otherwise, nice job. 👍😀

I used 6 tablespoons of psyllium husks and the bread turned out to be as hard as my foam pillow. 🤣🤣🤣 I thought 27 was a typo as my food scale showed 72 grams for 6 tablespoons of psyllium husks. I will surely bake this again. Thank you Lisa @ Low Carb Yum for all your wonderful recipes.

I would add nutritional yeast to this. It will give a ‘bready’ flavor. I’ve got my own bread recipe. It takes like a light wheat bread flavor. It keeps its shape when baked. It puffs up like bread. You can shape it into hamburger buns, hot dog buns, rolls. Whatever you want. It takes really good. Takes like bread, looks like bread and it doesn’t use a lot of eggs. So no eggy flavor.

Thanks for sharing. I use nutritional yeast if I make vegan or dairy-free recipes
