+sunnyside30 Jo here. The deal was that Mel would be in charge of all the heavy lifting and I was the keep her level & on track ( otherwise known as the house witch with a B). :oP I've been an organic, heritage seed gardener for over 30 years. We have a great deal in common especially our mutual long term goals.

My husband makes me one of these occasionally only he adds crab legs when I find them on sale for 5.99. It really makes you feel loved when someone cooks for you. Glad you girls are keeping each other company.

+MJ_Preparer Namaste Jo here. Thanks! Had been looking for some fresh blue crabs before my trip here, but couldn't find any for a reasonable price. But the weather has been in the mid or upper 80s for a couple of weeks now. I may have to get my nets wet one last time.

I just thank God that you found each other. Life is so hard to go it alone, especially, as we get older.Funny thing is I never heard of this recipe. I just found it on the Internet or in a cookbook just a few days ago. They mentioned it was poured out on a newspaper. I was looking for your newspaper! LOL! They said it was a southern thingy!Again, you two have been blessed to find each other and that each of your knowledge and experiences will add immensely to making life so much more easier and rewarding. May I say, I am a bit jealous! I would love to find a close neighbor and become best of friends and bear each others burdens.Blessings to the both of you!Jan & Mel

Hi Jo 💜😊 good to see ya again. So good to see the two of ya doing videos. Great dish but in allergic to fish lol. Other than that yummy!!! Take care-Debbie
@OneWomanAndTwoAcres8 жыл бұрын
+Debbie M. Jo here. My husband and #2 daughter were also allergic to seafood. I made a smaller pot for them with just the sausage. They even had a smaller table lined with newspaper just like with the big pot it was all poured out on it to get what they wanted.

Once a year we make a trip to the coast to buy an ice chest full of shrimp. We pop the heads off, clip the tail points and freeze in distilled water in ziplock bags. Also we try not to buy the shrimp that are flash froze. for some reason, I can taste the chemical aftertaste although they swear it's not a chemical. Yall are two peas in a pod. both have a great sense of humor. Enjoyed the video.

Looks yummy, I would like to make this. How long did the corn and shrimp cook?
@OneWomanAndTwoAcres8 жыл бұрын
+Katla Noire Hi Katla, The corn took 10 minutes. Since the seasoned water was boiling and the shrimp started turning pink as soon as it was added, I turned off the heat and stirred all the shrimp in. I let it sit to absorb the spice for 10 minutes and served. The shrimp cooked through perfectly tender not rubbery.
