VCG Construction shares why Lowe's New Kobalt 24-volt Max 1/4-in Variable Speed Brushless Cordless Impact Driver (Model #KID 2024A-03) AIN'T What I EXPECTED! We share our experiences wiith Kobalt's new impact driver from Lowes driving screws and lag fasteners, as well as drilling 1/2" and 1" holes with spaders bits we are able to chuck in to the 1'4" quick insert collet. This new Brushless impact driver from Kobalt is not what we expected!

Best part about Kobalt is Lowes is always clearanceing the old thing to make shelf space for the new. Picked up a bunch of Kobalt when they needed space for craftsman.

Like my Kobalt, but I went XTR. The new 3rd gen is only 2-5% less in speed and torque than the XTR, but you get the bonus of the new features. Glad to see they've updated, and looks like they did a great job. And since I occasionally drill holes in steel electrical cabinets with unibits (holes for conduit), I wouldn't trade my XTR hammer drill for anything because of the anti kickback feature.

Same here. Today my XTR Sawzall and one of my 4ah "Ultimate Output" batteries died. Similar experiences by others. Other than that, i also have the "Next Gen" kit and that Sawzall was 95% of what the XTR was capable of. Good to have a backup... After only a couple years though, I'm reconsidering the XTR's durability (medium home/outdoor usage).

Absolutely love all of my kobalt 24 volt tools. I use the 7 1/4 miter saw almost daily for the last few years and it is the best 7 1/4 miter saw you can buy. Better than the Milwaukee. It won tool box buzzs’ best 7 1/4 miter saw. Can’t beat the prices, especially on the batteries.

I just got the Kobalt 24v brushless weedeater/blower kit that came with a 4.0 mA battery as well for $161 after tax. ( in-store purchase) I love it no complaints. I will say if you’re gonna do a lot of blowing you might want to pick up an extra battery. Although the batteries are extremely efficient, the blower will suck the life out of your battery as any blower wheel😂 but Kobalt definitely has the best prices and bang for your buck, plus the warranty is almost unbeatable as well for the price point. I will continue my line with Kobalt and I will happily put it next to my Dewalt tools.

How does a 6 1/2" saw have the same DOC as a 7 1/4" saw? Did they do something different with the shoe or something? I bought a DeWalt 6 1)2" saw and it quickly became my favorite saw. I'd like to try the Kobalt.

@@dangrimes5078 yes, they changed something on it. Don't know how they did but it cuts same depth as 7 1/4. The only thing I don't like is the base plate is smaller so you have to lay it on its side. Other than that I like it it's much lighter than the bigger saw. Been using it about a year now.

I own some of all the big name companies' cordless tools. Sure, most DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita etc.., are as good as it gets. But what I've learned is, that, for a lot less $$, Kobalt is as good in some cases and almost as good in most cases. I think Ryobi is trending that way now also. Regarding Kobalt, run the numbers on battery prices and, no major line can compete. Every time I buy even a Ryobi or Craftsman battery I think, that battery is more expensive than my Kobalt. I love just about all the major tool companies tools but, my shop is turning into a blue wave...

As a pro I've been using kobalt since they were 18v. They have lasted or outlasted some of my Milwaukee and Hilti. Kobalt is consistent as where Milwaukee is hit and mis on longevity, rating them as homeowner line of tools especially in today's world of building crap is hardly fair. I have Makita and Ridgid also so it's not like I'm diehard kobalt but I give credit when due..
@stevenbrindisi4719
@stevenbrindisi4719 Жыл бұрын
Kobalt is in my opinion on the high end of Prosumer grade tools. Better than Craftsman, but not quite DeWalt. A pro can use these tools on the job without much complaint, but a homeowner would find these tools to be best for their needs. I've always been impressed with Kobalt, but I've never taken the plunge. I found M12 to be best for the line of work I do, but I recently dabbled in Hercules brushless tools and am impressed with the power for size and features. Reminds me a lot of these Kobalt tools, but the Herc is 2200 in/lb of torque on speed 3 which really puts it in competition with Flex.

I picked up the drill and driver kit a few weeks ago. It was a no brainier for $10 more than the drill alone. The only down side is it only comes with 1 battery. So far I'm loving them, but I'll definitely be picking up another battery. You can't beat these for the money, and I looked at everything from DeWalt, Bosch, Ridgid, Metibo, Milwalkee, all the Harbor Freight brands. To get a steel Jacobs chuck in a DeWalt drill, you're looking at least $60 more. These replaced my old DeWalt 18v that died, and I don't feel like it was a downgrade in any way. Definitely see me expanding my Kobalt 24v collection in the future.

Vincenzo, for the past I don’t know a nine months I find myself asking what happened to the rest of your crew on your published KZbin episodes? Dynamic among you made the show incredibly entertaining. I’m not saying you’re boring. But there’s a lesser degree of whimsy of joyfulness of just having fun on your channel that I personally sorely miss. Just as an aside, and this may just be me, your recent love affair with Milwaukee has left a little bit of a bitter taste, but that’s my opinion. Bring your crew back in, have some fun, exhibit some joy, and just entertain. You are clearly phenomenal at your job. But so are so many other shows. What made your channel incredible unique was the banter between you and your crew the way you challenge each other, the way you supported each other, and the way you felt like family. Feels substantial like it's meant for buisness... that's what it feels like to hold Makitas double cut shears in the hands, especially in comparison to Milwaukees or DeWalts.

Kobalt is really tearing it up. Awesome company with a good sense of direction and in touch with what people want. They’ve got a good ear to the ground. Unlike RIGID, because RIGID sucks! 😂

@@VCGConstruction I know right. If I could start all over again Kobalt would definitely be one of the platforms I’d get into.

Kobalt it hitting touchdowns with this new 24 volt line. Better scoop them up before they grow in popularity and prices go up. They remind me of how Milwaukee used to be. I'm still a Milwaukee fanboy but you know what I mean. Milwaukee is top notch but not as inexpensive as they used to be. And their lower line is not the quality of Kobalt. Still if I'm spending big money it's going to Milwaukee.

All I hate is that they downgraded their cells😢 They had Samsung, now it’s some cheap Walmart battery highstar
