Thanks for the very thorough review. I don’t do photography, but I’m strongly considering this for a business travel pack and just love all the thoughtful details that go into LowePro bags. I really appreciate you taking measurements and comparing size using everyday items. That’s a much better way of helping people understand the size of these bags. You should be a professional bag reviewer. =)

I’ve noticed that most mirrorless cameras are too small for camera bags. The top bangs into the roof of the padding. Does this sit flush? Will it also fit 2 bodies G master lenses and a 15.5inch MacBook?
@bammediafilms Жыл бұрын
The mesh are flush. Yes it can fit the laptop and 2 gmaster lenses.
@Poopdeck1015 Жыл бұрын
@@bammediafilms I tried it out, lenses were ok to an extent. But the bodies need to be padded with extra inserts. But there’s weren’t enough provided with them and Lowepro do not sell extras, so I would end up buying another bag in bag style compartment to get additional.

I don't have a 70-200. But online says the length of the canon 70-200 is about 197mm. My dji mavic2pro is 214mm is able to get out easily and my sigma 24-105 works as well. You should be fine.

Hi! Very good video. Good work. Wouldn´t it be better to place the camera at the opposite place so it will be at the bottom of the backpack for a more stable weight distribution? I believe you can change it and set it up to taste by modifing velcros, right?. Regards from Spain.
@bammediafilms3 жыл бұрын
I never thought about changing the location of the camera. Where it is in the bag makes it easier to reach the camera without opening the bag completely. But I may try that method out.
@rmgwheelsspokeslab.77673 жыл бұрын
@@bammediafilms You should try it just because by locating the camera at the bottom you will have a lower gravity center. I take the camera with me by mountain bike so it is very important to have that mass lower. Shakes less and makes you more stable and comfortable. I always place it at the bottom with the lens pointing upwards. Ok, if you have other heavy stuff like heavy lenses or another body at the bottom it will make things different as they will probably remain in place at the bottom once you pick up the camera from the top. But the idea is to keep mass as lower as possible. Well, for a walk it´s probably weird, but for few hours biking, walking or hiking makes a difference! Regards.

Good video. I have a 10 year old version of this model and looking at the new bags. One flaw I see is that you can only cary either a tripod or a water bottle but not both. Is this right? On older versions, the tripod strapped on to the back center.
@bammediafilms2 жыл бұрын
You are correct. On the external operation of the bag, there is only a pouch area for just one. The work around I had was to put a caribener clip on the sunglasses slit on the shoulder strap and add my hydroflask to that at hands reach. If not, just put it in the bag. Other bags have the option of having 2 slot, but may have other trade offs.

@@bammediafilms A pretty thorough unboxing! I just got the 300 AW III Flipside, so I was interested in seeing how the 400 compared. Thanks so much! 📷😎👍

How are you liking the previous version?
@jeffreyprokopowicz98423 жыл бұрын
@@bammediafilms It's not the previous version, just a smaller version of the one you reviewed (300 AW III vs. 400 AW III). I haven't put my stuff in there yet, but it will hold nicely a Nikon 70-200/2.8 VR S, three other Nikon Z lenses, and two Z camera bodies. I ran out of room in my Tahoe BP 150 when I acquired the tele zoom.

That is what I meant to say. Let me know if you like the waist straps or not. Your seem to be less bulky and should be better able to tuck away if not needed than mine.

hi there greetings, that AW rain coat is it come in a pouch or is it tucked that way?
@bammediafilms Жыл бұрын
The rain pouch tucks into itself. There is no separate pouch.

This is a great video. Thank you for posting. I am little skeptical to get 400iii over 300 iii. Waist straps looks big and unremovable, how do you use the bag without using waist strap? Also this bag look big bulky in real life? I only have camera/ lens and mini 2. no gimbal etc but also want to have option to side 15”MacBook Pro lol
@bammediafilms3 жыл бұрын
This isnt the slimmest or thinest camera bag out there. This bag will be able to hold all that gear and more. You can obtain more gear and grow into this bag. The waist straps are not removable, but the bag does have an opening where the straps are attached to the bag and i just roll the straps into that area to hide them and I have had mush success that way. I explain this more in my other video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHzGYZt-obNroLM I hope this helps.

Hey, how has the zipper being on the backside been working out for you? I’m studying abroad this fall and looking for a bag that can fit either camera gear or clothes when I travel for a weekend, and/or both at the same time. Do you get used to it not being able to open from the back like a regular backpack or is it still kind of weird? Also are the waist straps nice? Thanks
@bammediafilms3 жыл бұрын
Hey, yes I got used to the zippers bring in the back. I find that I find it more safe and I don't have to worry about anyone trying to go into it. The majority of the time I when I use the bag I tuck the straps away into the bag so it doesn't bother me, and only on long walks I take it back out. It takes away some of the weight off of my shoulders which is very helpful. The bag has adequate space that's should be able to fit clothes and camera great. I have yet to be able to fill the bag to it's capacity so far.
