My husband and I are considering hiking this trail when our cruise ship docks there in May. Do you feel like the trail was well marked/it was obvious which way to go?

Yes. The video's description talks about walking up the dock about 1/4 mile. Where the road starts to curve, you cross the road to find the the Dewey Lake Trail System sign. Once you're on that trail, it's pretty easy to follow. A gravel road crosses the trail once or twice. If you watch the video to preview part of the hike, there is a part where you go down some stairs and under a big pipe (04:40). Once you're past that part, it's easy to follow and well-signed. Have fun!
