Fifteen Sixth Form students embarked on Culford's longest voluntary work expedition to Malawi this summer, a 16-day journey filled with cultural immersion and community service.
They raised over £15,000 to fund various projects, including teaching in schools, repairing boreholes, building eco-stoves, and cleaning out a waterhole at Majete Safari Park. The group also supported local organisations like Good News Orphanage and Open Arms Infant Home and delivered PSHE lessons on puberty at Nankufi School.
The trip was challenging yet rewarding, and had a profound impact both our students and the Malawian communities they supported.
