Lower Sixth Volunteer in Malawi | August 2024

Fifteen Sixth Form students embarked on Culford's longest voluntary work expedition to Malawi this summer, a 16-day journey filled with cultural immersion and community service.
They raised over £15,000 to fund various projects, including teaching in schools, repairing boreholes, building eco-stoves, and cleaning out a waterhole at Majete Safari Park. The group also supported local organisations like Good News Orphanage and Open Arms Infant Home and delivered PSHE lessons on puberty at Nankufi School.⁠

The trip was challenging yet rewarding, and had a profound impact both our students and the Malawian communities they supported.
