Don't worry about tomorrow, tell yourself you might not even live till tomorrow and if Allah takes your soul today when you are practicing lowering your gaze it may be that one deed that is your ticket to jannah. Take it a day at a time then the more days you do it the stronger you will become and before you know it you don't even feel the temptation to look, because you will be far more satisfied with the sweetness of iman. In the verse Allah mentioned the man first, perhaps because men are the more likely to perpetrate in this regard. Regardless modesty and chastity is a responsibility to both genders. Don't worry about what you did not know as Allah won't hold you account for what you had no knowledge of. However now that Allah has blessed you with this knowledge it would be perfect if you started implementing it.

I hope nobody becomes depressed after watching this vid. During the vid, this amazing speaker said that lowering your gaze to an "ugly" person is easy. O soul, do not become sad. Cause many people think that they're "ugly" and one depressed soul might hear this and make him/her feel worse cause its implying that they may be "ugly" and what not. Allah thinks your awesome the way you look. And Allah fashioned you and didn't make a mistake. Great video but that part really struck me cause that can be extremely hurtful to someone. extremely. So if someone thinks your ugly, then the heck with them! Because Allah created you the way HE wanted to create you. (and I'm not criticizing the speaker or youtuber)

When you don't lower your gaze, there's actually very little to see..but when you start to lower your gaze for some reason there's so many models in our sights. May Allah give us guidance and protect us from falling into the whispers of Shaytaan...Allah has better for me (my chant for when I lower my gaze) but it's a bit hard when I'm driving..i just focus on the road
