Thanks for the help! It came out great! Time to put the rubber to the road and get some miles on it!

No problem.

I really like your spring method... looks a lot easier and safer than a spring spreader... especially when the center bolt is the only thing holding all that pressure!

Thanks. It has worked well for me.

Thanks. The truck is definitely unique. The subtle things really give it character.

Thanks for the video, I have just had my rear spring out of my 31 coupe, to add some more leaves, not much fun, scary. I used a threaded bar to help compress the spring when I assembled the spring also using clamps, untill I could fit my original centre bolt that wasn't very long. Thanks for the videos. The threaded bar is a good idea. I couldn't remember where I put the piece that I usually use.

Was close to your neck of the woods today, went to the Downeast Street Rods Run in Cumberland. Ride up was fine. Ride home--let's just say I had some issues (but that's what hot rodding is all about). Hopefully see you at the swap meet at the Dragstrip next week!😎

How was the show? What did you end up having for issues.

@@Maine_A_S : Show was good. Have made it every yr except 2 since 1990. Had carb issue, oil leaks and a broken fan switch. Should be ready for the dragstrip Sundaaaaay!

I can't approve of destroying an antique peace of engineering and ruining a Model "A" truck.
@Maine_A_S4 ай бұрын
Nothing got ruined or destroyed. If someone wanted to put it back to stock, it's just 2 leaf springs. They made 5 million Model As. Just think of how boring the hobby would be if they were all left completely stock.
