It's Monday a great start on another week in the shop at the Hiltz Auto Co. garage, I'm sure we will see some amazing things done on this 49 Mercury cabover project. Let see what's in Chad's brain this week I'm sure it will be an great week. Im looking forward to how the lower panel ends up looking once Chad puts things together down there. Also i would like to say the quality of the videos has improved greatly and that's because of the skill of Jolene, give yourself a pat on the back. Thanks Mark Dutka

The step, or steps, should probably be directly under the door, not further back. You have to think about climbing back out as well, not just getting in.
@roncoles68023 жыл бұрын
chad , you can put step in the side under the door like fighter plane have with a closer after remove your foot .

I was thinking the same thing but I couldn’t figure out why it would be so far back but then again I never built a truck.

Surround yourself with positive vibes, happy people, and that won't make you happy - but it helps. Only you can make you happy. Only you can let the negativity get under your skin, learn from the negative, but don't live by it. Shit happens, and you can't change that. Sometimes it happens and happens. It's not that it happens, it's how you react that makes or develops who you are. ...Chad, you're obviously too nice. You don't have to say anything about negative stuff they say in your comments. Love your show! / Love the places and people you surround yourself with. Keep focusing on the positive and we can only hope it rubs off on us too.

I've really learned a lot of techniques you've employed. Also at first when I saw your project I was like ugh, but now that I've been watching you develop this vehicle, I find it to be very cool and interesting. Its really coming along. At the 1:05 mark I could see the vehicle in its more finished form, great job.

A spectacular gift! "Making due" is essential to succeeding at professions that require manual skill. I think if someone persists, at some point someone else recognises and appreciates the effort with a gift like the one you got. ( Yes, I know The company is marketing). This happened to me this year. These tools/gifts plant our feet and make us look back and forward with more certainty and pride that were on the right track.

I love the idea of the tank with steps. When you look at semi tractors, the steps are directly below the door. Maybe the tank should be moved below the door instead of to the rear? Or perhaps have two tanks, one below and one where you held it in the video. However you decide, I know it will look and function great cause you are a genius!

Good job again. Been split all along in regards to the “trunk”. For some reason I think the bed is too short. But also think it would be a shame to remove it. Not sure if it’s possible but how about “reversing” the “arse end” 🤓 of the trunk. Only an idea - it’s your truck after all🦾🦾

Great work Mr.Chad! I was watching you on the fender and thought how it would look with the bright work from a 53,54,55 Ford,Merc. I am really liking how your tying in the chev truck panels on the bottom, looking great. The tank mounted on the side may take away from all the beautiful rolling body lines you’ve been creating this whole time. I’d keep the tank in the rear and just have a frenched in step instead.

Good lesson to not let people get to you. You'll know when the welding is done when the muddling begins and for sure when the painting is done. I know you are going to build it your way, but I would recess two 9" wide steps on top of each other spaced evenly about and add a long vertical chrome hand rail like on semi-trucks. This would make it easer and more comfortable for every one getting in and out. Just look at some semi-truck under their doors for ideas. Great show, keep them coming.
