Hi from the North of France. In my garden and around the village, primroses grow in abundance in the spring and disappear when the weather warms up. They also self seed and give a beautiful spring show. Many thanks for sharing. It's given me an idea 💡 😀. Happy gardening 🙋‍♀️

Thank you for sharing, I live in NE Okla. Zone 6, that's all I know. I'm going to plant some Prime Rose. There is a wild flower that grows beside the roads, they bloom in late spring or early summer. They come in light pink or white, I dug some up and planted them in a few of my flower beds, they come up every year and multiple. We call them Mexican prime rose. They get about 4 to 6 inches tall and about 3 inches wide. I really don't know what they real name of them are, thought someone could tell me.❤

Hi Andrew, Some things are, but since I frequent these store so often, I can tell right away if prices have gone up. The perrenials are mostly the same price, some shrubs went up a $1 or 2, in the grand scheme of things, not much considering the state of inflation. Not a big increase percentage wise.

Thank you for this Lowes update, Steph! Absolutely adore the Monrovia Weeping Blue Spruce specimen. As far as dogwood trees are concerned, we planted a 6-7 foot pink dogwood tree 29 years ago. It is full grown at about 25 feet tall. Blooms profusely every year and I will surely miss its beauty if we ever move away.

I absolutely love dogwood trees. I have a pink one. It's just about done blooming. I've had it over 10 years. It's probably about 9 or 10 ft. tall and about 5 ft. wide. It's got a beautiful round shape to it. They grow wild her in NE Oklahoma. I live out in the country and up and down my road they are all bloomed out beautiful white right now. They are about 12 to 15 foot tall and real skinny and just have leaves and flowers more just on the top. Just like God said they would be. ❤❤❤

Steph, one of the most rootbound plants I’ve ever purchased was one of those Kimberly ferns!!! I couldn’t believe it …when I got it home, and was ready to repot it, I couldn’t get over the fact that the root ball was just like a cement block! Now I bought that thing the summer of 2021, and this is the second year I’ve just brought it in the house for the winter…yes, it sheds everywhere, but I just have it on a big plant stand in a guest room…it’s so lovely, and it’ll pop back to life in a month or so when I get it back outside!!
@HookedandRooted

Hi Carolyn, I agree! Those ferns are always so root bound and screaming to be divided. Mine sheds a ton too over winter, I have mine in the basement. I have the boston ferns. I"m going to trim mine, feed it with some fish emulsion and start acclimating it on warmer days. I agree, they take off quick with the warmer weather.

36 years ago when we built our house, the neighbor across the street gave me some of her red with a yellow center primrose for my garden. They have come back every year since and get larger too. (Maryland Zone 7) About 4 years ago, it finally dawned on me to divide them and put them in other gardens I have on our property. They pretty much stay evergreen but can look a little tired in really hot weather. I have them among other perennials that help shade or protect them in those cases. When I saw that double purple, I thought, "why haven't I upped my game with other varieties," so I'm going to see what my Lowe's is offering. I was considering the scotch broom but it may be invasive on Maryland. I thought I had a great place for one. Again, thanks for the tour. It always sparks my interest.

We never get the good PW stuff like you do here in Western Washington, but I keep looking.😊 I manages to find some PW Vista Jazzberry at my local Fred Meyers of all places a few weeks ago but it's still freezing cold here so I had to put them in my hoophouse till it warms up. Still getting 36° at night and barely above 50° during the day, and Petunias don't like the cold. I figured if I didn't grab the whole flat, I'd never find them again. 😅 I really want the Bubblegum and don't want to have to order direct, so I'm on the hunt. Thank you so much for sharing. Hi Mary! I understand, @provenwinners are great plants, and I have heard from many people that their annuals aren't carried in their areas. Perhaps they might expand their availability in the future. I agree that it's best to hold out on planting the petunias until night temps are consistently warmer. This time of year is tricky as we may still occasionally get a frost. The bubblegum is very prolific! As is the supertunia bordeux. I've enjoyed growing that one before. Have fun, and happy gardening.

Hi there, I believe all Lowes are having spring fest. However, what's on sale may vary by location.

Hi Mary, Thats so interesting. I know that there are a couple of varieities of primrose, and some can even be a bit invasive. I suppose it depends on which type. Thanks for sharing!

idk about dianthus coming back but for me they come back sad, whether it stays in pots or the ground. I gave up on those and hollyhocks and trying to focus on what I can grow here.

Same here I gave up on Dianthus. They just didn't come back well and did not like to be moved once planted

How tall are those north pole arborvitae? I don't have them here in my Midwest lowes. I wonder if I can have them shipped in.

Hello, the ones in store were around 4ft in height if I had to guess. The shipment may get expensive based on weight. However, I have ordered pw items on home depot.com. It's possible lowes.com has the same option.

Yes Bree, I definitely find that. Now I only want to plant tree's much bigger than I can physically handle because I don't have the patience to watch them grow lol, but gosh the smaller ones more affordable and easier to plant lol

Rene', I have one that there is a burrowing hole near it and I went out the other day and it just lifted right up so something like a mole or vole is eating the roots. All the others look fine SO far!
