What a great patio space! The transformation is very 'Japanese' to match your already existing space. Well done, you two!

LOVE your Vego garden! Gorgeous! Your gardens are looking great too! I always use pallet cardboard from Aldi too! When I ask them and they usually have 6-7 in the back of the store🙌🏼!

I have used your cardboard hack and I must say it is brilliant. So much easier than pulling off tape and labels. Thanks for sharing.

Looking beautiful & the iris are gorgeous. I’m going to try the DIY spray. I have a large area to spray & hate to use the chemical ones

I think some of those dahlias came from my neck of the woods - Swan Island Dahlias. You’re going to have to take a trip west to visit Oregon someday!

What a fun video. So much interesting things in 1 video. George's string method for edging that side area was such a simple and smart idea. 😊

I have your fire pit from Lowes. I took the lava rock out and added fire glass instead, which you can order from Lowe's. It is so much prettier.

Take it easy. That mulch is not going anywhere. We just moved to a warmer state than WI and I cannot believe how draining the heat is.

Hi Garden friends! How are things looking in your garden? The weeds are coming at us fast and furious. I hope you enjoy this video compilation of things we did over the last weekend in the garden. Here are links to a couple of items I show in case your interested. I was thinking a wall fountain in the center of the wall with potted plants on either side. Two of the long planters would be good too. I heard to just use vinegar for the rusty appearance.

Friend, so I bought 5 Oenothera 'Mexican Primrose' from Lowe's this week first time that either them or Home Depot had carried them this season. They DO NOT SEED in my garden here in TX 8b....I live in hot and dry El Paso, Tx but they spread by underground roots/'stolens' kinda like Bermuda grass. So they spread but they do so in a well behaved manner..They are nearly impossible to kill so a great 'starter' gardener choice.

You can get a fountain with a power bank option, or one with a battery back-up, for $10 more than you probably paid for the "strictly solar" one. I have both kinds (solar with battery back up, and solar with power bank adapter) and they allow me to set my fountains on timers and also operate them on demand, at night, for example.

Hi Steph, what's the the name of the landscape fabric you used in you woodland area? I purchased DeWitt professional from Lowes a few years ago & it's not as durable as I thought it would be.

Hi there! I actually did use DeWitt, purchased on Amazon. We've had it down for about 7 years or so and its holding up well. Maybe this one is a different weight than the one from Lowes? Here is the link in case you want to compare specs: amzn.to/4eBBY9e Hope this helps.

Steph, I like the way you are able to decide on different colors of planters that work well together and the shapes add interest to your newly designed area. The bamboo, climbing versions against the house in the new planters along with ferns,Japanese Maple, etc. give the area a cozy and welcoming feeling. Your other ideas of a fountain, bench and bistro just make you want to sit down and take in all the lovely sights, relax, and enjoy a glass of wine or favorite beverage. Thank you, for sharing your latest project that was fun to watch come together! .
