I'm a 50 Year old guy and watch all the "manly man" DIY videos from lawn care to car detailing ect..... and I have to say this was the most enjoyable video I've ever watched. You explained everything so perfectly and clearly. It was an absolute joy to watch. I've never seen these skins before and what an amazing idea! The price range is a bit high for me but I would do this in a heartbeat if I could. What a huge difference! I never knew how boring garage doors looked before this video. LOL!!! Thank you for this. You certainly have a new subscriber as you are amazing on camera.

Steph, i've been subscribed since the beginning and have enjoyed watching your channel grow. So well deserved. Your videos are always well organized and helpful. I enjoy your calm and laid back demeanor and even if I'm not gardening right now, I still look forward to your new videos. They deserve so many more views than what they get. In my opinion you are right up there with @gardenanswer. It would be wonderful if Laura featured you. That could probably help you grow more. I remember back a couple years ago garden answer would feature other gardeners and it was a great way to find other great gardening channels. Keep up the great work, and happy Thanksgiving to you george and family.

As for the bench, it was the Lua Bona 'Lowis' outdoor bench, but it looks like its currently out of stock everywhere. Maybe in the spring. Thanks for asking. Happy Thanksgiving!

Great advice, especially on how to empty the 100ft hose (I have the same one this year and was wondering how to do that!). Also-you’re lucky to have a (younger) strong and helpful hubby to help you carry all that (a sofa!) to put away for the winter. I’m 61 and on my own when it comes to moving pots/garden things for storage. Cheers!

Great tips for the garden surviving winter!!! Quite a bit of work to do but worth it. Btw, Ive got a 1980s manual lawn chopper too. Great invention and good for small lawns.😊

Very useful and helpful. I too cut back my peonies and leave the coneflowers for the birds. I also deadhead my hydrangeas as we usually get one or two ice storms and some heavy wet snowfalls that will break the branches if we leave the spent flowers. Looking forward to your spring bulb video. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🦃

Great video Steph!! I would love for you all to do a compost for a project!! Also Looking forward to the bulb planting in the plastic containers. I did bulb lasagna in mine but moved them to my unseated garage for the winter as I am afraid they will freeze in the planters. Do you leave your planters out all winter with bulbs in them?
@LeslieHumen-lu2ixКүн бұрын
I also planted spring bulbs in pots for first time and also put them in my unheated garage and covered them with a blanket. Im in zone 5a. Not sure when to take them out of garage.

Thanks for informative video. Strange weather we’ve had so far…beautiful days, cooler nights but should change next week. Hottest, driest summer in 20+years. Lost plants due to heat and have replaced. Some perennials still blooming (mums, angelomia, celosia and others. Good to know some really have seasons! Thanks for sharing and have a nice Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🦃

I leave my concrete stuff outside and I cover them with frost covers or old pillowcases and then plastic garbage bags over that. And for metal benches I buy covers that cinch at the bottom and then they are protected during the winter. All of my other resin items go into the shed with delicate concrete items. Metal and wood yard decor also goes into the shed. My outdoor chairs they stack and I cover them with stackable chair covers which cinch at the bottom. My hoses which I leave connected, get drained out and then I cover them with heavy burlap coffee bags while they're hanging on their hooks and then I put plastic garbage bags around that with bungee cords. And of course all my garden beds are protected by mulched leaves, but I mow up all the leaves on the lawn to prevent mold and fungus. The deck umbrella gets closed and gets a heavy contractor's bag pulled over it with bungee cords to hold it down, and all my pots that have shrubs in them are wrapped in burlap coffee bags and then mulched over with leaves. All my terracotta pots get turned upside down on a metal stand against the back of the house. My bird baths stay out uncovered except for my solar bird bath And they get covered with large contractor bags and bungee corded at the base. The potted plants that are not hardy in the zone get put into the greenhouse mainly all my succulents. And then the other plants that don't fit into the greenhouse go into my garage. I have a small oil filled heater which takes care of the space and increases the temperature by at least 15°. The greenhouse is perfect because I can turn the grow light on during the day due to lack of adequate sunlight. And the heater in the greenhouse keeps the temperature about 15 to 20° warmer than the outside
