Great lesson -- you're such a good teacher! Seeing your garden is a thrill -- especially your beautiful success with the GOMPHRINA! I'm going to look for it. Thanks! Regarding the "lime" series of zinnia varieties -- and once I grew those exquisite zinnias, some of the other zinnia varieties seem plain. But the "lime" series do not reproduce seeds so well as the others in my experience, so it was difficult saving seeds for the next season. And that might also explain how pricey they can be. Thank you also for indicating where you purchased your seeds; that saves a lot of time. Happy gardening!

Question, on the Hibiscus, I had two and they came back for me for two seasons and now this year neither came back? Both are in a sprinkler system and both flowered last year. I’m in zone 4, what are your thoughts? Oh they were both PW

It‘s a wonderful collection! Also a really dangerous disease, once you start, they keep coming 😅 If I could make a suggestion, a very nice cultivar is Shin Deshojo. Greetings from Germany

I love lily, but some invasive bug ( lily leaf beetles), came and devoured them. I read that they are in my soil now, so it will happen with any that I plant now. 😢

I don't think I would ever have the opportunity to see how a landscape designer designs their own garden. I enjoyed the tour, learned some things and was inspired. Thank you Andrew and Steph for the tour of this beautiful garden! ! 🌼🌳❤🌳🌼

Steph, The base of your design which was originally a candleholder is a great idea! Such a pretty centerpiece and adding just a few candles added to the centerpieces elegance. I like the dinnerware you set your table with that did not detract from your Thanksgiving Tablescape. Thank you, for sharing!

On the butterfly bush, they hate water so much that the gal at Proven Winners has a video on planting it a smidge above soil level AND sloping the soil away from it.

Speaking of phlox, I have a volunteer plant that's super pretty and my neighbor thought it was a phlox but when I looked up phlox, they were just single colors and only one that was a double color. And whatever I have LOOKS like a phlox but it's multi-colored in white, pink, and red. Wish I could send a photo.

Just planted a Teucrium chamaedrys "Summer Sunshine" germander that has pretty chartreuse colored leaves for my dry shady area. Also meant to order the Acanthus mollis "Whitewater" but messed up and bought the regular Acanthus. 😢. Will have to order and pay for the right one next month.

Yes, I still use mulch. The goal is to have to use much less mulch as time goes on and my ground covers grow in.

Very informative you covered a lot of bases for a first-time grower. But I do have a question.. I don't have much sun here so I bought a grow light and put seedlings on my patio with the grow light they are not doing well. Should I have them inside with the grow light? Zinnias and cosmos
