Finally got to the two Lowe's stores near me I saw the new craftsman versus the old craftsman drawer liners included the corrugated metal everything you spoke about thank you very much for pointing that out I'm still deciding on trying to get floor model there versus a new model that is over at Home Depot same size little better quality perhaps it's still up in the air keep up the good work

I just picked up the old version of the Craftsman 26 in top box with the power strip on the side for 189.00 down from 269.00. They didn't have the old bottom 5 draw rolling cabinet that is on clearance, but the only two differences between the old bottom one and the new bottom one is the new one has the peg board where the handle is, and the casters are the better ones. Otherwise, the design is the same for the bottom box from the old to new version.

On Craftsman toolboxes call Waterloo industries not Craftsman for warranty issues. Craftsman will just give you the number to Waterloo industries. Save a step and a day just for a phone number from Craftsman. Waterloo is the manufacturer and subsidiary of Stanley Black and Decker.

Jeff, you couldn’t get me to buy any craftsman tool boxes. They are not of the quality of the past. Kobalt is far better. I myself, just bought a beautiful Husky rolling tool chest at Home Depot. Very nice quality at a good price!

18 to 20 gauge steel is what they are which is fine. The Husky metal is actually skinner at 21 gauge, and both manufacturers drawers support 100 pounds. So what specifically have you seen in Craftsman tool storage units that made them fail?

@@jeffostroff many complaints of the soft drawers exploding and dropping the ball bearings. And construction issues in the builds. I wanted to buy the 2000 series, but they weren’t throwing any deals worthy of what I found at depot. Growing up I was craftsman everything. Unfortunately, with all business, it becomes about the dollar. It’s about making money. I understand that. I’d even pay more if they kept the durability, rather than give us China and sales. I bought Husky 6’ wood top table. It was made in Vietnam. Great quality. Then I bought wall cabinets, made in China. Not so hot. A lot plays into build locations. I wish we would stop funding our enemies. China is on a world campaign to dominate their might in the financial markets and militarily. Hence my disgust in financing them.

I've visited 5 Lowes in the past week around the Plano, Texas area. Not many deals here. The backpack blower was still $299 at two of them. None had the cordless Kobalt work lights. At one location I purchased some spring clamps for $10 and a 100 piece Dewalt drill bit set for $15. The largest store in East Plano was full price on almost everything. And I will never purchase Craftsman again. I'm surprised that Lowe's corporate thinks we are interested in the brand. The Husky boxes and the Harbor Freight brand are much preferred now.

I have a 23 year old top and bottom Craftsman tool case with full length drawers on the top and an actual cabinet with side drawers on the bottom. I will never own a top case with those small drawers. Such a waste of space with that divider bar going down the front. Back when I bought mine Sears had different models with different drawer options you could choose from. Today you get one model.

I went to lowes on the 5th last day of craftsman bogo and it said they had 5 battery kit bogo and get tool free of course got versastqck radio but had to buy drill and driver with 2 battery's because they missed place a whole box of battery's

A few people have reported to me that they see it from California. If you're ever in Hawthorne try that Lowe's I was there in September and noticed a lot of good clearance prices there, and remember you're not going to see it online it's only in the store so don't just look on Lowe's website and see full price and think to yourself oh we don't have it at that price here. A lot of these deals are in-store deals only and you need to just go in there and find it in stock first at a local store and then go in and check.

Bought a Craftsman roll away a few years back. Never used the locks on it till I had to move. When I went to unlock it, I heard all this noise. The locking mechanism fell apart. Ended up this is common. Supposed to turn it over so the lock mechanism unlocks...yeah right..with all your tools inside. Or you can drill and cut.Tried the first...didn't work. Buy a real one...Snap on...Proto or ? Save yourself the trouble.

Still working on finding a new gimbal that will support my camera it turns out a lot of these gimbals out there are lying to people and making it look like they can handle everything but they really only work on the lightest cell phones the tiniest older model phones. These newer larger phones are being very problematic for the gimbals

Pretty boy toolboxes. Fawning over the color, this or that little feature that serves no purpose is turning the tool business into a Victoria's Secret type of business where women fawn over this or that lace. Give me a reasonably strong box, that provides a reasonable amount of organization at a reasonable price is all I care about. All those little plastic boxes, with their tiny nest for each bit, which you have to perfectly align to be able to close the top, which you then nest on top of other similar little plastic boxes - I don't have time for that crap.
