I love this idea. I think you have to teach your children/adults to only take down the craft supplies that are going to be used for the particular project that you are using. Less off the shelf means less chaos to deal with during cleanup. You look very pretty in this video.

just one thought - if the fabric was folded and put in vertically, Kon Mari style, then you could see all the fabric you have at a glance and not have to take anything out . Love your ideas!

I loved that shelving unit, but sure that cost a fortune to build

Maybe you can hang some shelves. If you're handy, you can use wood from a pallet for the shelves -- maybe attach 2 boards together for a deeper shelf. Maybe an old armoire or old bookshelf. Check on Craigslist...you never know what you might find.
