The place looks dead. I saw a video of Lowestoft from 1987 and it was heaving with people, and had great independent shops. Now, it's like every other town in England......B&M, Bet Fred, PoundStretcher, The Works..........🥱

I couldn't agree more. I watched many old videos from different England cities and towns they look very unique each a single one. Now is all the same big supermarkets and Asian take away restaurants in between.

it was 2020 though,, elderly were all shut up in their homes at the time
