I am very happy with the update features in Maschine - there were so many amazing features added in version 2 that could have easily been worth a 30 dollar update (clips, growing patterns, etc) Kontakt 8 is pretty amazing too and a creative jump starter with the new tools 🌟
@LowHeatBeats4 күн бұрын
Yup, that's fair. Growing patterns is huge for me, I had forgotten it was a free update to Maschine 2.

I'm still using maschine mk2. I haven't seen a single feature in the mk3 hardware and 3.0 software that makes me feel I must upgrade. I can do absolutely everything I need to with mk2.
@NakulKrishna4 күн бұрын
Mk2 to mk3 is a massive upgrade, there’s a whole lot you can’t do with those old screens.

Mk2 is going to be discontinued soon so Buy one soin

MK2 was discontinued in 2017 when MK3 was released.

@@LowHeatBeats but I can still use it. I haven't had any problems at all. Works perfectly.

@@Bilpokat The MPC 1000, MPC 2000, MPC 60 were discontinued years ago but people still use them without any problems. The SP 303 was discontinued but people still use them. Being discontinued doesn't mean it stops working.

Maschine complaints have been the lack of software updates. A new controller wouldn't make sense...and is really nothing if the software isnt quite where it needs to be. The only thing i would be nervous to buy is their A series keyboards...they are still on MK1 and still have the old logo on them lol

@00.28 how is iMaschine still being advertised?

Yeah, maybe they forgot to remove it?

"not anytime soon" likely refers to 2024. Willing to bet $$$ that new model of plus in 2025. Even so, what it is now is still a very good device.
@preamble4664 күн бұрын
I’ll take that bet. I wouldn’t look for Maschine 4 hardware until 2027 at the soonest. Not really a need to update, still a phenomenal machine. Akai is crap
@pdiggz20034 күн бұрын
They're trying to discontinue the Maschine in all. NI doesn't care for the Maschine anymore if you have the MK3 or the Plus keep it but I would invest in any NI controller right now.
@mrclaytron4 күн бұрын
Possibly true, but Maschine+ is still a good purchase for people purely interested in a hardware groovebox. Even if it never receives another update, as it stands today, it is really great to use. While it's not as feature packed as modern MPCs, I personally still prefer it. Also, I'd argue the Maschine expansions sound just as good, if not better than even the latest and greatest MPC packs. But that's subjective of course. Also, because M+ is standalone, it can be used regardless of Mac or PC support. Kind of the great thing about any standalone hardware. The current asking price for M+ makes it easily one of the best value standalone grooveboxes available IMO. I will say that I'd probably not recommend the MK3 though - I mean it's great, but if NI stop maintaining OS compatibility as Mac OS and Windows continue to advance, then it becomes just a basic MIDI controller.

ney and ney. it's yesterday. not sure why you excite people. they only sell it because cleaning for new OR not feeling well with sales in general. so couple reasons for random bedroom musician joe NOT to invest precious money to it i did not say those are bad products. i enjoyed them much ... at some point 😎

I'm switching to akai in future, I spend thousands on ni I have mk2 and this is just fine as controller, on the end of the day is only midi controller, but luck support for mk2 with new software is slap in my face, I don't want buy same product as whole again, this is greed and im not going to support ni anymore
@tyronereed63703 күн бұрын
I don't know about greed. The MK2 came out over 12yrs ago. How long do you expect them to support it? I also think the only reason it's not supported is because of the displays.
@gutaninblanco3 күн бұрын
@tyronereed6370 i don't know, but I will say that fl studio users have lifetime updates for the software and mpc software still works on old mps studio controllers.

Once I see how standalone operates then I’ll make my move.
@LowHeatBeats4 күн бұрын
For sure, thay makes sense. The sale is until Jan 15, maybe the 3.1 update that adds support for standalone will be out by then.

There is another VST emulation similar to the Broken Mini, it's called the Viking VK-1 by Blamsoft. It is an emulation of the Minimoog Voyager.
