I can attest that contacting my local congressman helped me get my disability quicker. I had a lawyer as well but after I contacted my congressman I had an answer in a couple of days. It doesn’t hurt to try.

Prayers for everyone applying for SSI. Back in 2011 I applied, had to fight to get it. Got an attorney, many doctor, etc. While waiting me & my children end up homeless. It was an awful time. Finally, have many doctor appointments with SS doctors and hearing I received SSI 2013. And they wouldn't give me back pay! You have to fight hard. Nicole, Thank you so much for all your updates it is so helpful. All is well now for me & family. Amen!

SSI is a needs-based program, not tied to retirement or disability SSI stands for supplemental security income, it supplements income you lack
@DebLindley-xg8gz2 ай бұрын
@@0annonymousit most certainly is tied to Disability, the criteria is exactly the same used for SSDI. SSI is given to those who worked but didn't have enough current work credits, or, who have never worked at all.

They need to put back the money they stole from Social Security years ago. The interest rate on that money could have kept things going a Lot longer than 2035.
@MelissaThompson4322 ай бұрын
How that works is, SS saves your money as government bonds. In the accounting, that means SS is listed as a debt as part of the national debt. Government bonds are "debt," but they are guaranteed; the money is there and it will always be there. For accounting purposes, the federal government "owes" it to us, but it's just like any other money certificate. If you have certificates in the amount of $5B, you own $5B even though, on paper, you are "owed" $5B.

They have refuse to honor the 10 years recall so I have to find a way to borrow the $5000 to pay for the repair that only Toyota can do. Other mechanics tell me they do not own the special scanner and have the training to replace the Hydraulic Brake Booster on the Prius. My advice to everyone is do not buy anything from Toyota. They do not stand behind their vehicles, unless you car pay big bucks for repairs.

Apply for QMB at your local HSD office The Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) program provides Medicaid coverage of Medicare Part A and Part B premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance for low-income Medicare beneficiaries. It is an eligibility category under the Medicare Savings Programs. QMB pays Medicare Part B premiums, deductibles, and Part A and Part B copayments, and can also pay Part A premiums. All Medicare providers and suppliers, even those that do not accept Medicaid, must refrain from billing QMB enrollees for Medicare cost-sharing for covered Parts A and B services. Anybody apply for SSI or SSDI more likely you’re gonna get turned down the first try because everybody is gonna get turned down almost everybody because you’ll have to get your lawyer. So don’t think you can go apply and you’re gonna get it. You’re gonna get turned down the first no matter what your situation is cause I had a friend his wife was onkidney lives for kidney transplant and she was doing dialysis five days a week and she got turned down so you don’t just get to apply for it and get it you gonna get turned down and then that’s when you go get a lawyer and then your lawyer will help you apply for you can apply for yourself. You gonna get turned down because 90% of people get turned into the first time you gotta get a lawyer to help you.
