lowkey didnt just quit randomly, he recieved alot of threats due to obviously his views what he spoke about in interviews and what he sang about (cause he exposed) and americans didnt like it so he laid low and took time from music.. there was one track he even said it in before he stopped with msic but some reason no longer on youtube, other than that im so glad that he is back and with another deep track

No offense but the glasses guy was off the mark completely, he couldn't make a point so he just said "blah blah blah" that's very disrespectful almost as if he wasn't listening to the what Lowkey was saying or reading the lyrics on the screen. Harvey mate you're cool, articulate and intelligent, lets try to keep the content like that especially when it comes to music as real as this, anyway bro keep up the good work, was waiting on this for a while, also someone else you should check out is Immortal Technique, he is American but he is a conscious artist like Lowkey and Akala, check out his song Immortal Technique - dance with the devil - animated short film.

Because he's hanging out with his mates he probably doesn't want to put a sad mood in the room as all you see is them watching the video but they obviously they will stay in that room and don't want to be sitting around in a bad mood so is putting it more lightly
@flref0x8 жыл бұрын
Nah I think you're being unfair there mate with all due respect. There are two key areas they discuss here, content and delivery. They had covered in depth and given respect to his content and the guy in the video also wanted to highlight that Lowkey is very technically skilled with his delivery. Him saying "blah blah" isn't disrespect, its simply a tool to describe what he enjoyed about his rhythm. Just the same as when you describe a song to somebody you might say "The one that goes, dum, diddy dum dum de" or whatever. On top of that he was actually saying Lowkey does a great job of spitting fast but actually pronouncing each word so that his messages can be conveyed clearly and accurately. For example using the correct pronunciation of Ahmed. He was basically complimenting Lowkey's rapping technique, which has to be fair enough right? After all that's surely what separates a conscious MC from your average political activist. I rate Immortal though, take care.

He didn't "come out of the game randomly" sources close to him at the time posted on Facebook that his home was raided by the police, they took all his books, Arabic scriptures and his laptop. Apparently the government had something to do with him "quitting"due to the fact that his music is so politically driven.

Just to let you know, Ahmed, the child in the video, those were real photos, was found on the beach, dead. His teddy was found nearby. He was a refugee. It disgusts me to see how the world is allowing innocent people to die.

Action fueled by human empathy is how these problems can be reduced. Lets at least start by fueling up, right? These kinds of videos are depressing and do take an emotional toll, but that is because of how much they move us. We NEED to promote the videos, songs, and movies that tell us these stories and give us these messages of empathy. Thank yall for doing this reaction and promoting this song in your own way!
