Banshees have only teeth decals while the Goliaths in the campaign can either be plain, have teeth too, or have a little Confederacy flag painted on them. I always loved these little details on the units in Starscraft. Wish Vikings had something like that too.

A note on the offensive gg: if those first two really are MOBA players, the offensive gg is much more common and not seen as rude in that community, so long as it is not called a long time before the end of the match (e.g. you have a really good fight and get a big advantage, to type gg after that when you are not hitting their nexus would be kinda rude.

Yeah. It's just player sees that the game is nearing the end and says "good game" meaning just that - that he has fun playing it, both players did well and he wants to share that feeling. It seems rather common in lower leagues and in other games. No offense at all.

Thats actually a great idea. I think I would actually watch more of that since, I love lowkos normal style, but I usually don't have a ton of free time and I usually spend 2-3 days on one typical lowko video. I watch his videos for the tiny golden moments in all of them (there were a lot in this one), it would be nice if he could just have a ton of those in one shorter video. Kinda like his streem highlights. He obviously saw ur comment, hopefully he acts on it. lol

This remind me of 2011 starcraft 2, where we had 3 base at 16 minutes. In 2021 at 16 mins the map is almost mined out.

The shark tooth motif on the Banshees is a reference to the shark tooth motif painted onto the American Volunteer Group of the Republic of China air force during World War II, a.k.a. the "Flying Tigers". The motif is also present on American A-10 Warthog ground attack planes.

This always amazes me as another person in silver. I know my problem is I go mining crazy so I regularly die 3k banked as I spent the last 2 minutes frantically morphing into whatever ...but this is comedy gold and shows how wide silver league really is

I never played Starcraft 2. I played Starcraft Brood War for a decade when i was a kid, though. Found Lowko's channel and immediately fell in love with him. So, i just downloaded the game and tried it out. HOLY SHIT it's hard and chaotic. Can't even follow the simplest of building orders without messing up entirely and with passive AI. It will take me a good amount of time to rise to the level of the "viewer games" skill that we all laugh at... Not gonna laugh at viewer games anymore...

I love watching bronze and silver games. They're not reinventing the wheel as they play, they're DISCOVERING that wheels are even a thing as they play. Tactics and strategies that would never work in high skill games work amazingly well in lower skill games.

"banshees have teeth?" Yep. If I remember correctly it's a reference to the world war II fighter pilots who would paint shark teeth on their airplanes to intimidate their opponents. The idea being you should always avoid a shark.

Lowko, as a Silver player myself, I can tell you that we don't play standard builds because we don't want to look up "the answers" online, just like you don't want to min max your Mass Effect playthrough. For us, Starcraft is just a fun game and we try our best with our limited APM...

??? standard terran opening is still the same since WoL unless u goin reaper u need the tech lab for it. Only zerg changes, back in the days zerg players build extractor. make drone, and cancel the extractor for additional drones. toss changed a little since moship core was added and removed

The thing is Lowko about reinventing the wheel as i see it, personally i love playing vs AI in RTS games because i can turtle and play my own stupid strategies and tactics. I fully know that it wont work in PvP and thats why i never play PvP in RTS games, so i assume those people just wanna do what they want but dont care if they win or lose too much.

I have never really played SC2 but I love watching streams. It feels a very micro-intensive and balanced game. Yet I still wonder somthing : Isn't the fact that the tech lab or reactor always on the same side of the buildings make terrans a bit more sensible to some map orientations ? As all maps are supposed to be symetrical, it feels like they are the only one that might be penalized when the start on one side more than on the other.
