@@alexanderheinzemann8750 Lol, it's just that Serral is too good in all matchups. Look at Reynor vs Maru in this same tournament. Maru would've won their best of three if not for a massive blunder. Reynor vs Maru is more on who makes the more mistakes. Fighting Serral, can see that Maru didn't make mistakes but he still can't win. Zerg is already heavily nerfed. Nerf Zerg more it still won't matter to Serral because he's so far ahead of others.

@@alexanderheinzemann8750 No, Terran is still OP, battlecruisers are OP, ghosts are OP, thors are OP. Terran has easily the best army and they're easily the best defensive race as well. The only way for Zerg to win is to have superior economy, more bases and more spread all over the map - and they have to do this against an OP opponent. If OP Terran can't do anything about Zerg taking advantage with their better eco then it's 100% Terran being outskilled. Lift up some command centers more bruh.

Lowko, overlords can supply wifi. When they drop creep it's essentially free wifi for all the Zerg units, hence why they move faster and do things better.

Its so strange to see that whole mech mix barley was able to hold against the swarm. As soon as the ghosts hit it was different. So ghost op i guess yes but without them beeing so good terran lacks something.

Well, its the spellcaster from Zerg that are mainly what Ghost are made for. You cant beat Zerg lategame without Ghost, or High Templar if you are Protoss. Literally Viper and Infestor kill Terran units more effectively than anything else from Zerg side.

My point is that even without them his Zerg mix was so strong that the whole mech army could barrley hold on. And if you think about nervig the Ghost (yes i think the ghost is too strong) this is the perfekt game to show that with a Ghost nerv you need some other changes for terran Units.

@@ingrimmschboindil1302 I was talking about in general Mech vs Zerg game. Even in this game, Maru mech was able to hold pretty well even without the Ghost, BC counter Swarmhost/Muta, Thor for anti-air, Tanks to control ground and Helion/Hellbat for cleaning up Zergling. Mech got the answer for pretty much everything but the Spellcasters from Zerg. I dont think Ghost need to be nerfed, or if it is nerf then the Viper/Infestor need to be nerfed as well.

@@tigera6 then you have a different view of what holding on pretty well is. My whole point was that the whole Mech mix was not able to deal with the Zerg and as soon as the ghost hits you saw how the game changes so clearly.

I think Mech style can give a good fight against Zerg in general, until Zerg bring out their spellcaster and keep abducting/neuralizing Terran units. If you take away both Ghost and Viper/Infestor from the matchup, I think Terran can win, assuming both players are at the same level.

Speaking of camera dragging - I've always been surprised by me never seeing anyone use the keyboard to move the camera. When I played some RTS/MOBA, one of the first things I did was rebind the keys to have camera-movement in the middle of my hotkeys. Especially with hearing so many reports of pro-players developing hand/wrist problems, this seems odd to me, that I haven't seen anyone else implement it (... To be fair, I haven't checked in like... a few years, whether any high level player uses that)

7:52 Maru doesn't realize it's a baneling drop because he hasn't seen the upgrade. He thinks it's just an overlord chilling there trying to scout like previously. Serral forgot to unload the banelings (although he hasn't shown he had the droplord upgrade). Maru overlooked it, and serral forgot to micro haha. It was a silly mistake on both sides though.

I never thought I will say this as a Zerg, but Zerg is OP. Check out the last map. Serral placed 8 tumors for every tumor is denied. Maru can do nothing to those queens in the early game.

Tbh I don't think zerg is op in that sense, zerg had always been the "power in numbers" race so if the zerg has alot of units they're possibly going to snowball. But for terran, i really hate mass ghosts 😂😂😂

If Maru can't win there is a HUGE PROBLEM ! There is no REAL counter to banelings : mines are too predictable and and be tricked, tanks are too immobile to be really lasting long and we really got nothing good from the air departement against a mass benlings!!! The solution is the AOE ability from banshees called BARRAGE!! It's mobile hits hard and would prevent the rinse and repeat the Lowko mentioned ! Also it SHOULDN'T be that Easy to take out a Planetary Fortress!!! Terran NEED static defense to protect their bases : aka Flamming Betties and Autu Turrets!! Also Free units should be REMOVED from game so we need to replace the Swarmhost and Broodlords !!! Since both attack ground only let's give them Guardians which is way more cannon and is more balanced!!

I go through these cycles where I leave sc2. Then I come back to watching it and I have forgotten how hard it is to play. I load up an unranked 2v2 and all the delusions of grandeur go away. Then I just stick to watching. That's the move.

Maru made blunder mistake in 3 games, game 1 playing on Pride which is extremely Zerg favored, game 2 with double proxy reaper and got heavy countered, game 4 he didnt make enough Mines/Tanks while letting the bane runby destroying the 4th base. If both sides played clean at the same time, it would be more like game 3 of the series. You should go and watch the Bo7 between them in KoB2 a couple months back, both sides were playing at the same supreme levels and it was very long.

Serral really showed what creep and queens can do in ZvT and even ZvP. He didn't paint the map so much with creep as much as he did with tumors. Whenever we see maru try to clean a few creep tumors with an early game hit-squad, Serral just plants twice the amount immediately because he already has the ridiculous queen count for it. He plants so many creep turmos that whatever armu maru has sent out has to deal with those, waste scans on those if he doesn't come with a detector, OR if he chooses to ignore the creep in favor of fighting Serral's army, then he will just be completely surrounded by zerg's winning field. I think creep mechanic kinda busted. It takes more effort to clean creep than it does to spam click queen's ability, which is also technically completely free. THere is almost no out-microíng a fast ground zerg army on creep. The ghosts ran all the way to the main base and still got bane'd cuz maru's attention is so focused on keeping the ghost alive that he's at this point 1 entire screen away from everything else that the zerg is destroying.

Well, the map pool was more Zerg favored heading into IEM, and everyone knew that. Maru lost because he didnt play well except for 1 game, that doesnt change that fact. Pride of Altaris should NEVER be included in any of a World Championship map pool.

When Beckett was on the map pool, you can hear every single Zerg player complaining about it all the time, non-stop. And like I said, Maru didnt play well in 3 games, but that doesnt change the fact that the map pool was Zerg favored, and you have like 5 Zerg in top 8 and , almost a full line up of Zerg in top 4 had Solar not forgot to research Bane Speed against Heromarine. Everyone who watch and follow SC2 regularly were really concern of how favorable the map pool was heading into IEM, and well, things happen almost exactly like people were afraid of.

Hey, I've been watching for a little while now and after hearing you talk about not wanting to watch games before casting a couple of times now, I had an idea You've probably already thought about this but I thought I might as well put it out there Why don't you, when you watch a couple games, try to get a few things that happened that you can go into heavy detail on and for example maybe even do a couple of calculations for how much mining time a run-by might have cost and the resources lost from it I think it might bring some fun variety to your casts and it makes you able to watch matches without missing out on casts Greetings from Germany to anyone who bothered reading this, hope you have an awesome day/night Edit:forgot to proof read my phrasing

The counter to ghosts are banelings!? It takes 6 banelings to kill a ghost (assuming that this is Maru, and therefore the ghost is split pretty well), with the cost of 6 banes being 300/150, and a ghost costing 150/125 - you'd need to kill at least two ghosts at a time to make it worth it. TL:DR; Ghost are awful (to play against), especially when Maru uses em.

I think the reason baneling are the 'counter' to ghosts is because ghosts tend to clump up and if they can get the baneling to the ghosts, then they can hit 5+ghosts at a time
