I once played zvt as Zerg, due to heavy fighting, accidently pumped out my hive in main base with 3 own workers, eventually i won, but actually I didn't understand how i lost the hive at the moment I was playing. I realized that it was me😀😀 after watching a replay miss clicking my workers, that was emberassing moment😄

kinda wanna see a full zerg wall off with bane evo roch and a spine, so you can move the spine to make an opening, but also close it off with a spine

The problem is the spine is too slow to react to units outside your nat, then zerglings can block the spine from burrowing and the wall will still be open

I agree that Dark got too weak in this year. He used to be the most successful low-eco zerg player back in 2020-2021. Now his timings are so off. He delays upgrades and misses ling counter attacks. I wonder what happened to him.

u can see. but banes are no major "battle unit" as vs terrans, and too often games are in the roach phase before baneling speed hits; or full walls neutralise early banes

I have been wondering why the top players never play with spine crawlers. They seem like a perfect way to defend your creep spread and they balance out the composition of queens with zerglings. You could say that the banes are a better option, but they do require a population cap.....IDk, 150 minerals with a 50 sec production time seems a bit much. Almost identical to producing a queen.

Would not matter most of the time, as the initial damage is rather low and fights do not last long enough. As soon as you see them going into the high dmg mode, you could just quickly unburrow and burrow your units again. I think it would add needless micro which would barely be used. Nice idea though!

Serral played a very SC1 lurker hydra style with viper as air support, and NEVER went above 54 drones for the entire game while Rogue played very greedily in the early to mid game, having over 70 drones before the big baneling massacre of drones, enabling Serral to continuously cripple the economy of his opponent with his own, for all intents and purposes, untouched at all. A 50 drone eco in ZvZ is how "more stuff beats less stuff" is shown in its purest of forms! SC1 ZvZs can be over in less than 5 minutes simply due to the rock-paper-scissor nature of the match-up. Lurkers have always been amazing for base defense. I expect hold position lurkers to become a thing in SC2 in about a year from now, and it'll be Serral who teaches everyone else how scary lurkers truely are.

I was bored for most of this match, it felt like Serral was being slow walked to victory. I'm not dismissing Rogue, just Serral is number 1 for a reason, and felt like Rogue was trying to delay it as long as possible. Also for everyone else, Spore Crawlers, the anti-air building, does 15 damage per attack to mechanical, and 30 damage per attack against organic. It makes them quite effective in ZvZ

Serral was not "slow walked to victory" for the very simple fact that he never had so many drones that his army was smaller than Rogue's. That's the big difference between them. Army size in a ZvZ is of higher priority than having a strong economy in the early to mid game, Rogue literally ran out of gas because his economy was TOO good while his army was always a little more flimsy at the start of a big battle. Had he committed to a heavier mutalisk harassment style, Serral would not have had an as easy time denying bases.

Rogue should have had a massive mutalisk army, at a certain point mutas start to one shot stuff when they are stacked on each other. Go in and pick off Serral's structures before he can get those vipers and lurkers out.

If you're looking for a unit to counter these Compositions it would be scourge. Is scurge with flying kill vipers. That's allowing your vipers to do their job. Additionally for your opponent it would make it necessary to have a large number of hydraulics hydralisks to protect your vipers.

Lowko I love yah but you did kinda stop paying attention to the trades half way through the game. You kept calling Rouge's movements for taking out lurkers good trades when he loses 20 supply of hyrdras for 2 lurkers. At the end you called Serrals lurkers very cost ineffective and vulnerable when they managed to wipe out 30 supply of Rouges hydras with no bank to replace them. Its the first time I've ever really made a comment like this but this video felt like a very sloppy cast.
