@@mechadoggy yea it's get's kinda confusing to keep track of the action (if your doing with the poster of the video here and being a announcer of the action) but there dramatic moment of 1 person about to get wiped out and a dramatic moment of them getting back up. that is the whole appeal to me.

Yah they did a classic ground/air split and turtled to tier 3 tech, that seems like good 2v2 strategy

Note how Dark spread creep like he was playing 1v1 and Scarlet left room for Astrea to build where necessary. Team play matters!

​@@Michblack0000 Yeah part of the reason that Byun's army was bad was due to the lack of ghosts, and the second academy snipe was because he had to build it on his frontmost base

@@elliotlea5457 It's not just that, his marines drops in the early game were completely useless, they got shut down instantly by both opponents. This led him to be quite late to transition to more serious units.

This was such a fun game! I was honestly favoring byun and dark coming into this matchup, but I loved seeing Scarlett and Astrea come in with a strategy that they were able to execute really well.

Please cast more 2v2s. I LOVE your normal videos, but the 2v2s and battle royale videos are some of my favorite content. Maybe this is partially because they’re so rare, but they add so many new dynamics to the game that they seem like an adventure to unravel every time. Would love to see much more of them in the future.

Everything was so bright and glowly. It was rather confusing as to whom was who. Probably controversial, but putting the game on low graphics mode switches to a simpler scene which is way easier to follow with this many people. My preferred way to play

I'm very happy for 2v2 to get more visibility because there are a couple of issues where the maps are entirely broken and need a fix. For example, in one of the maps; a well placed early liberator is untouchable by anything but air, and can constantly hit drones - Placing the Terran at a massive advantage early. How this still exists I have no idea. Anyway, was a nice 2v2 and the MS recall doubling up with Nexus recall is so OP haha.

How does creep work in teamgames? Do allied Terran and Protoss units move slower on "friendly" creep, or are they unaffected? And I assume they still can't place new structures on friendly creep?

Creep only gives a speed boost to zerg combat ground units. Only zergs can build on creep. Does not matter if friend or foe for creep buff.

19:03: Vipers: "GET OVER HERE... AND KILL US!" Love the coordinated teleport tactics from team USA here. I was hoping they'd use it to do some infrastructure damage on one side, wait for the enemy armies to arrive, then pop to the other side and do even more uncontested damage. I don't think Byun had a good time ;p They gutted his production and left him impotent; first the Barracks on bottom, then the Starports up top. Amusingly, the 3 or so Barracks that flew away on the bottom had nowhere to land, between the creep from his ally and from the invading Nydus' xD

Whilst I enjoy a good 2v2, they are challenging to come across as Lowko mentioned, they are probably 75% cheese; 24% are probably no action for first 10 minutes where everyone is maxxing out and then you have 1% which are extremely entertaining to watch. Happy to watch more, I just feel sorry for Lowko having to sift through all the dodgy ones to provide that slim bit of brilliance for us to enjoy.

Speaking as someone who enjoyed playing Starcraft, CNC4 and LOL with my brother, the extra mental effort involved in communicating makes playing a RTS at a high level more difficult. I doubt anyone would be equally as good at multiplayer and singleplayer and that would make spectating these things much less fun.

Don't know what you're talking about. When we played brood war in the early 2000's, in high school, it was all about team play - 3v3, 4v4, rarely 2v2. We never played 1v1. All local networks in hourly paid computer halls. None of us had our own pc's or internet. It was all about team play. Those were the days...

Nydus is considered a structure, Liberators can't attack structures in multiplayer. Lurkers can not hit burrowed units without detection.

Protech is a great 2v2 streamer. Meta has always been mech with phenix rush and gas dumps to the protest to rush the phenix… if I remember right.
