Hey lowko, could you upload a video on doing the first weekly mutation? Because unlike the normal brutal coops missions - that one is actually hard. Seen master rank players on twitch that say that the mission is really difficult.

Interesting. Your abathur play is very different from mine, probably because you're playing him much the same as you'd play multiplayer. When I play abathur, I generally focus on a queen/roach heavy army and seldom go above 110 supply in the entire game, including two fully saturated bases. A good early army for abathur is 2 queens and 5-6 roaches, and by mid game I'm playing a couple of vipers overhead. I've seen a pair of newly hatched queens with the healing upgrade and +1 +1 take on a colossus and several zealots by themselves and win, and abathur's roaches get up to 580 hp at full biomass with bonus armor at low health (plus vile strain slow at high commander levels), so don't underestimate bio maxing. Along with toxic nest placement, the biggest factors I see in good abathur play are good micro on vipers and early biomass maxing, not just for the brutas but for the whole army. You're talking serious hp upgrades, double energy regeneration, and doubled attack speed at full biomass. With a good blinding cloud spread, abathur's 50-odd supply army with near-max biomass can casually walk over enemy bases without missing a step or being required to regroup. Sometimes I find myself adding mutas late game just to fly around soaking up all the leftover biomass, and add some extra punch (which mutas do exceptionally well with all the upgrades) to speed things up. Still, was fun and educational to watch. I'm hoping you can do an update on this to showcase his high level upgrades, some of the different plays you can do with him, and more particularly his masteries. I'm interested in your take on all of that.

+Urza26 I recommend Karax, he has many aoe options and his reconstruction beam keeps everything alive. His base defenses are excellent and his colossi that are buffed by purifier sentries will easily melt through infested terrans while his orbital strikes take care most of the enemy air units or infested terrans that broke through the outer defenses. I did my first mutation mission with Swann, who provided me with extra gas, flame turret as base defense and goliaths/cyclones as extra anti air while my sentinel/energizer/colossi army melted through everything on the ground. It wasn't particularly difficult except we missed the bonus objectives due to zombie attacks. And that was without any mastery levels, now I have cheaper units, more efficient reconstruction beams and chrono boosts.

Lowko you should try out DT corsair with vorazun. This comp along with some other upgrades later on allows her to solo missions even on brutal because she is just that op.

@LowkoTV How do you get your game to look so good and perform so fluidly? Are you running at 120hz? I'm so annoyed at how I can't get good, reliable frame rates despite having a 6 core processor running at 4.0GHz, a Geforce GTX 960, and 8 GB Ram I can't even keep the settings at high because of frame drops in battles. Are you running any special graphics settings that you'd be willing to share?

+Jared Brown (JMan) All graphics for the videos are on extreme. I play in 4K but downscale for videos (at the moment) to 1080p with 60 frames per second. To be fair, StarCraft is a very CPU intense game, but a GTX960 will struggle with a lot of games if you try to max it out. Depending on what six-core CPU you're running that could very well be your bottleneck.

From what I have heard the sc2 engine, since it is somewhat old already, does not take advantage of more than two cores. Not 100% sure whether that is true tho. I have an oced g3258 (dual core) and sc2 runs very well.

What cpu is that? SC2 is very cpu intensive. Especially physics calculations when stuff blows up. I read somewhere that SC2 uses 3 cores effectively. Per core cpu performance is important for this game.

I'm using 4790K and 970 SLI (factory overklocked), never had a problem at 144Hz in 1080p, sadly 5760*1080 is not an option..... F you blizz! You don't need a 6 core, a 4 core (without hyper threading) @ 4.0GHz+ should do the trick.

Abathur does not focus on small groups of attackers. In fact you can win without your partner since abathur can create a million GIANT brutalisks within 15 minutes

Since you're capped at 3 brutalisks, I feel like if you don't get all three and do the three leviathans, you're doing it wrong. I feel like there's no reason you can't do both. Doesn't take all that much resource to get a spire and a handful of mutas. I guess maybe evo-wise you want to choose a focus, and make more of whichever (ground or air) unit you're upgrading, but really--get the three leviathans anyway, because once they're freaking leviathans, they're still a huge bonus even without upgrades.
