I would wrap the interior. It's easy to move the panels and get access too the parts. It's a good small project for you to get you into wrapping. And go with red instead of white bc white will get dirty more easily

The zip ties on the plastic under the car is normal for a mechanic its easy to get them off you just cut the ties and put new ones and they work better than the stock clips

I live in New York and go to need for speed for constantly anything that has to do with my Evo and they do tremendous work. They installed my clutch and everything. Great shop

It is possible they didn't mess up the down pipe. When the bolts heat cycle they will loosen up. I used a proper torque wrench when I did the open dump on my 9 and a week later I was missing a bolt. after one heat cycle you need to check them again.

The gauge cluster pods are much better than a pillar pod. I have the SMY one. It’s kind of hard to see the gauges but clean looking.

I hear you, with youtube car videos the last few years I have really started to learn sooooooo much and now do a lot of my own work but there are still certain problems I cant fix because of lack of a lift or the proper tools or even a garage to work on it, so I still must rely on strangers to molest my cars :( Your videos included, so thanks for making them you help a ton fo people with similar builds and installs, 15 years ago no one could do anything themselves without going to school for it...but in 2018 there are 15 year olds who watch KZbin car channels who are better mechanics than guys who worked on cars for the last 40 years!!!

The A Pillar Pod and bag deployment, if it unfortunately happens, will be fine. It pushes the pillar to the inside of the cabin while still tethered to the top hanger and the bags come out from the window side. You will have to cut the pillar pod to have it fit. I have it installed on my own Evo X. Check it out on my gram @yc.evo.x

The gauges will shoot towards the window. fyi. Theres a clip in the bottom and re directs the pillar the other way. I had the same question when installing my gauges and did a lot of research on the evo x lol.

Change to studs and go with top lock nuts and you'll never have issues with bolts backing out. They may very well have tightened them up and they just backed out from vibration. I have been battling that issue recently and swapped to a stud and the problem is gone.
