2" tall x 1" wide x 12" long. No detentions were reduced. I laid my transducer on its side and mock traced it and measured 5 times for the hole. Lol. Ask anything I'll help all I can.

Does the sidescan still work with the transducer up in the aluminum bracket?

Yes, it is not "up in the channel". It's up to the channel.

Could have turned it around with the cable next to the skeg of your trolling motor and then went into your settings and changed your left to right view.. because the cable being on that end of the transducer that's the way the transducer supposed to be mounted but you can go into the settings if you turn it backwards and flip your left to right view and it protects your cable from any hits or damages.

Where did you find the bracket for the skimmer uou removed? I have a 3 in 1 transducer I'm trying to mount on a minnkota maxxum but will not fit because of the skeg. It can be mounted on the side of the motor with a bracket like the one your removing. Thanks in advance for your help

That’s perfect design. Would like for you to go into detail how you made that. Is that three separate pieces and you tig welded it. Really like how you got the front of that TS protected and how you got it slit on the other end man that’s perfect dude

Thank you, I bought a 1x2x12" aluminum piece from "Metal Wherehouse part # 21786. You will notice your TS has a shallow recess on the flat surface. The aluminum will mount between the lip. I laid the aluminum on its side and held the TS up to it as if it was in the recess and looked down on it and traced the shape and dotted the bolt hole. Then I cut it out with a cutoff wheel and massaged it to shape. I used a drill bit to notch for the cord in front snd where it would come back out of the side to go up the trolling motor shaft. I used the cutoff wheel to groove the end yhat would straddle the skeg fin. Next I held it on my motor and marked where the hose clamps would best fit. I used a Rotozip to mill out the clamp slots. But I've sure you can drill a few holes in line then run the drill back and forth to open the slot nicely. In my second video you will see the tail end of the transducer supports I added for superior hold and protection. Again I thank you for viewing. Please like and subscribe. question.... once you put the marine bond epoxy on the transducer it is mounted for ever. There would be no way to remove it from the aluminum. Correct? Do you think using a super strong neodymium magnets with waterproof adhesive (so it could be removed later if needed) would interfere with the transducer signal?

I don't know about magnets. I put about 1 inch of the bond. At the heal. This transducer has a history of breaking off at the oem mount due to its long length. Naming the rear ridged only made sense. I'm sure I could get it apart. Maybe a multi tool with a nice thin blade will separate it it but at the moment not really concerned. In fact. If I didn't bond it off the bat and it broke then I would need to "yes" bond the entire thing later.

@@earlzach overall great design. I'm wondering if you had a small lip or cup at the toe, once the heal was secured with the bolt it would remain in its cradle. That would eliminate the need for the adhesive. Can't understand why lowrance doesn't have a bracket like this for sale.

Thanks for inquiring. So far it's been great. From a functional durable aspect I can't complain. I'd have to plow into a rock pile to harm this. By the way, did you see the part two video with the added tail supports? If not check it out. I did that not long after the first outing. I did have a fear of snapping it off. Not anymore.
