The only problem with that would be the accuracy of the quit count. If people know that they'll be publicly shamed for quitting during a match by having it displayed on their Win/Loss stats then they'll just quit by closing the game entirely instead of going to "quit to menu". Quitting by closing the game probably wouldn't count as quitting since there's multiple reasons why someone could disconnect from the game without actually quitting, examples being internet going out, game crashing, power outage, someone/something unplugging your game or hitting the power button, etc. Either way, the accuracy of times someone quits mid match could be misleading.
