First, I want share... I adore and profoundly respect Nam-joon. Additionally, I witness Bang PD's genius and amazing skill in creating BTS. I am very aware they have a symbiotic relationship. One would not of been without the other. With that being said... I know folks think this prank Bang PD did is funny. However, it is my opinion... having some idea about how committed and sensitive Nam-joon is to his members, BTS and ARMY... I believe this "so called prank" was very cruel and abusive to Nam-joon. I found the first and last pranks heartless! How must Namjoon have been feeling in the first one, thinking that Bang PD was seriously angry with him? That telling off looked real. Even one of the other members said it made them feel uneasy. The last prank. What an ordeal for those youngsters in a foreign country where they do not understand what is being said! Jungkookie was pranked on his 15th birthday. Oh, that was heartbreaking, I can't watch that again. But, dunno, although my western brain had a hard time, I wonder if bc of everything they went through, they are that much tougher and prepared for anything thrown their way in that industry. Bang PD also made sure that the members also had a setting to play and be creative in "In the Soop." He had a recipe. It was fate and destiny that OT7 came together, but also that Bang PD was their "shepherd" rings cosmically, too. Imagine if they were at any other company, instead of BigHit. They'd be a different group, very different individuals, with different relationships btw them.

There was no entertainment value for me watching “my boys” be frightened when being “kidnapped”. JK’s face is so expressive, him being afraid or sad is an arrow to my heart. But all seven bring out a momma bear in me when I see them anything but joyful. BTS is the most angelic group of young men I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch and absorb their goodness through a digital screen. I want to watch them while they are sleeping or eating or goofing off.and I want to jump through the screen if I see someone being unkind to them. Nobody better F with “my boys”!!!!!

I hear you. I have similar feelings about what they endured. And, what I've learned about these guys is that they learn from their experiences to better care for themselves and each other.
