UTI is so deep and intelligent. I love how he backs his argument with facts. Indeed Accountability is one of the strong pillars in every relationship. Queen T thanks for always representing us your gender and for having UTI around. I love this episode, love your transparency and you never disappoints.

I'm not even surprised by the way the convo went immediately Toke mentioned Uti is a 'Leo'..... Most male Leo are big on pride and try to dominate/control their relationships, yet they fall and get hurt by the 'sharp' babes. Yes, past experiences teaches us lessons... However, you shouldn't always try to control new relationships, give it a chance.

😂😂😂"carpenter 2"... Uti aced the assignment!!!!!!!! Accountability is huge... but it is only beneficial to the one who is trying to do better and be better. One who values being held to a higher state of being. Toke is right where we need to make allowance for people's shortcomings and extend grace but I'd argue it is even more important that people learn how to express themselves when emotions are high in that heated moment. Too much damage is done when a person is controlled by their emotions at the expense of Tact. Yes we are humans, but those on the receiving end are also humans. Saying what you mean and in the way you'd also like to receive it is key. Remember, words can cut deep and people won't forget how you made them feel so.... No! Let's learn to express ourselves better when angry. E hard die. But we can learn it. If we communicate better when it matters most, we rid ourselves of half the problems we face in all kinds of relationships. This was such a fun conversation. Part 2 please!!

I agreed with everything Uti said. Love is patient, love is Kind in any circumstance no matter what it is, if a person who claims to love acts outside of this principle it is not LOVE. People should stop allowing people to shit on them based on so-called love. Love feels good even in hard difficult circumstances, love is still love

Toke thank you for always assuring me that I'm not an insane person. We should learn how to give slack to the people we claim we love the same way will do for our siblings. Pulling out a receipt in every conversation is an unforgiven spirit. I'm supposed to be able to have a conversation with my partner without pulling out the receipt. With Uti's mentality, I won't even call his relationship love but the partnership

I don’t agree. UTI might have been a little bit too intense but he knows where he’s coming from. It works for you don’t mean it’ll work for someone else. We often want validation from everyone and everywhere else but ourselves. I know a situation where a person apologizes for their bad behavior but keeps at it. Do you understand how that hurts? Our siblings, family members, partners and lovers shouldn’t go on hurting us cos we keep accepting and they keep doing negative things to us. More than anything, love over everything and we should protect one another by being kind. Girl hold your power.

What an amazing conversation. Toke, I love how much you have grown over the years. You have really done your work and it shows!!! Girl, who is your therapist- drop the deets. Its also obvious through this past season that you have been really hurt by people closet to you; unintentionally you reference heart break in every conversation, but it lets us know behind all the glitz and glam, you are human😍. Toke I Stan you girl. UTI, watching this interview- I love that you are self aware and you have also done your work; however your conversation gave me serous anxiety. While I do believe people should be held accountable for their actions, the truth is people are humans and would slip from time to time; we have to be able to extend GRACE. It doesn't appear that there is room for error in your world. You might have to undo your work small beg, I think you did too much work!!!

I totally agree with him when he mentioned how people throw bad words (liar, fool, ugly, etc.) when arguing. I can forgive you for raising your voice (which should be once in a blue moon😂) but you better not insult me or bring up a past event/ current situation to hurt me, if you do, you clearly shouldn’t be with me, so BYE!✌🏾 I feel this conversation with Uti was long and it had to be cut into bits, cause some discussions were not complete😭😭. TM, please you might have to bring him back, he sounds self aware and knowledgeable👏🏾. And I really like #TMpod because of the TOPICS and HOW they are discussed, it’s not all about gossip and throwing shades, you would actually learn something tangible.

I really stan Toke on her words here, It might sound like accountability to call your partner out and even accounting their behaviours in names, like you're being silly, etc, etc, but that doesn't help, regardless of how much work a person has done on themselves, feelings are also part of a person, it seems too damn logical for something that started out and is also built on emotions. If it's this way life is, then our parent were right in so many they spoke to us growing up.
@Tomiwa101
@Tomiwa101 Жыл бұрын
Our parents were wrong but we weren't empowered enough to hold them accountable. I doubt your parents can insult you the same way they did when you were young. That's the crux of Uti's argument: you can't be in a relationship with someone who doesn't fear saying insulting words. It's the ultimate red flag, no buts.

I totally stand with Toke on its not important to always have immediate confrontation I prefer when the argument has died down and we are un a healthy space I bring up the issue I was not okay with . The problem is make sure you don't get gaslighted at the end For the walking out on Uti when there's an argument In some situations where the argument is getting overly heated I prefer to leave the area inorder to allow the person and myself calm down because it's not always going to be very easy all the time

Thank you, Toke, for playing the devil's advocate. I feel Uti is a BIG TIME control freak and an egoist. Zodiac or not, that's a major flaw. I could be totally wrong too, as I do not know him personally. But from this conversation, that much is evident to me. None of us are perfect, and we shouldn't waltz through life compiling receipts for our loved ones. It's called a "love relationship" for a reason, and I think loved ones are deserving of lots and lots of allowance. I agree a 100% though, that there SHOULD be exceptions when the lover is toxic or when the wrongs have become a pattern... in that case, we should do all we can to protect ourselves. But largely, the premised assumption in this conversation is that of a loving relationship.

I support Uti on this. Yes to accountability… no name calling or insulting cos we are arguing. And you have to say I’m sorry if you ever use those words.. they are verbal abuse. You will have so much argument with loved ones, friends or people you are close to, do you want to hear such words said on the time? People need to learn to state their differences and still be respectful.

UTI you’re wise oo but it’s not a man or woman problem it’s a people problem, men use men, women use women. Toke please sometimes wrong should be wrong, it’s not about the need to be right. People should be able to hold their partners accountable to avoid familiar mistakes in the future. Always wanting to see the good people makes people stay in abusive relationships because then they feel guilty to leave because “the good outweighs the bad”.
