in late 80's early 90's growing up I knew alot of people that had this game and finished it. It always seemed too long of a game for me, and i was more of a super mario bros fan. fast forward to now in 2023. I bought the NES classic edition a few years ago and i was really exicted to see zelda as a included game. I sat down with another walkthrough and got all the way to dungeon 9, and kept getting lost. great video! I actually beat gannon on the first attempt! very well done video. thank you!!!

Thanks a ton! This video helped me immensely with navigating the complicated dungeon! I first started playing Zelda games with Breath of the Wild and was really curious to see the series' roots. I can see where they got a lot of the ideas for Breath of the Wild in this game. Even being 8-bit, the world feels so expansive and explorable. You helped me complete this game, and I really don't think I would've beaten this dungeon without this guide. Thank you!

First time playing Zelda was on the NES at my friend’s house on Christmas Morning 1986. Fast forward to today, I embedded a super console X into an Atari 2600 chassis. Playing games w wireless SNES controllers. Christmas 2023 and I finally beat Zelda using your guide for Gannons Lair. Almost certain I would have lost my mind without the help of your video. Good times.

Yep, you're right. How very annoying -.-* (not that you're right, but that I'm wrong) Thing is, I have been looking at maps with enemy & item placement before recording to make SURE all my info is correct. When I looked at the map of this, it showed 3 Reds & 3 Blues in that room. I figured I remembered wrong because 2 Reds might have been inside each other, but nope. I just checked again & you're right. Some people need to check maps/guides before posting them. >=( Thanks for the heads up! =)

I didn't truly understand the point of the red ring. Link didn't get to use it for very long. And if "go to the next room" simply means to blow up the wall, well, Link did a lot of that before him. So why was this particular wall different?

@dailycoffee85335 жыл бұрын
Yes the LOZ 2nd quest is fun to play only somewhat harder.
@richardsantalone93802 жыл бұрын
@@dailycoffee8533 Yes indeed. For starters, in the first maze on the second quest, the skeletons throw swords at you, so you better make sure you buy the magic shield first BEFORE you go in. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND buying the blue candle as well and picking up the heart container located in the upper left portion of the graveyard (you have to push the second tombstone from the left in the second row in order to expose the hidden cave). There is an old man who lives in this cave -- he is the first of the five old men who say "Take Any One You Want" -- you're given the choice of a heart container (this increases the length of your life meter) or the red life potion. ALWAYS take the heart container when you find these old men because you can always buy the red life potion from the old women who sell them later in the game. In the second quest, the other four old men with heart containers are in the following locations: one is located in a hidden cave in a small clearing in the northernmost part of the overworld east of the hidden entrance to the Level 9 dungeon and another is located in a hidden cave in the overworld sand desert -- you need to get the magic recorder located in the Level 2 dungeon first in order to open these caves. The remaining two heart containers are in the same location as the first quest: one is located on a dock in the sea all the way to the east (you need to get the step ladder in the Level 6 dungeon first) and the other is located in the island cave in the easternmost part of the overworld (you need to get the raft located in the Level 4 dungeon first). 😎
