It broke my heart hearing you say you wouldn’t make another because all I want is to see more. I’d love to have one.

Sure enjoy watching you built slip joints. I too am a pocket knife maker. Hated to hear theses are your last ones. But I understand. Best of luck to you.

Nice looking folders , great feather damascus. I can see you have about the same issues i have when making and polishing brass and other metals near wood scales.....they get filled and dirty grey with metal particles. Thats the reason why i no longer use light colored woods...specially when making a slipjoint knifes. On darker and much denser woods like desert ironwood or ebony...the dirt is not that visible or has less chances of filling pores. I tried some advice from other makers to avoid the dirt penetrating the wood pores by using a lot of WD40 sprayed on the scales while polishing....the penetrating oil fills the pores and less dirt gets in. After polishing you degrease the scales and most ( not all dirt ) gets cleaned off. Still not all dirt. Keep up showing your skills...very enjoyable content.

Cheers, yes just so damn fiddly mate always the same when you mix handle materials, get the same issues with ironwood and bone horn etc, they contaminate each other making it tedious to work on but thats just the way it is, Conditioning belts are quite good at cleaning mixed materials up though. 👍
