LPG tank sizing calculation and selection using spreadsheet, Propane tank sizing calculation

a gallon is a gallon, and a gallon of liquid propane does not take up less volume than a gallon of water. there has to be an error in your calculation. your calculation says you can allow 2048 gallons of propane in a 1300 gallon tank. but the 1300 gallon tank can only be 80% full of propane, which would be a total usable volume of 1040 gallons for a 1300 gallon tank. you can not put more than 1040 gallons of liquid propane in a 1300 gallon tank. for example if you have a gas grill that uses propane. and you have a 20 pound tank. on the side is the stamp of the WC which is the (water capacity) in pounds, if the WC = 47.6lbs, that means the tank can hold 47.6 lbs of water, divide that by the density of water. (8.34lbs/gal) and you will see the tank has a total volume of 5.7 gallons. if we take 80% percent of 5.7 gallons that is 4.6 gallons. there are 4.6 usable gallons in the tank to keep it at a max of 80% full. if you multiply the the 4.6 gallons x the density of Liquid propane (4.23 lbs/gallon) then you will see why they call it a 20 pound tank. because the tank holds 20 pounds of liquid propane. 4.23 lbs/gal x 4.6 gallons (useable volume) = 19.5 lbs, rounds up to 20 lbs. furthermore this proves my point that the 5.7 gallon gas grill tank can not accept more than 5.7 gallons of propane, it can only accept 4.6 gallons. please explain why your required volume of 1833 gallons of propane can fit in a 1300 gallon tank, that only has a usable volume of 1040 gallons (when 80% full)?
