Feel really bad for tian watching this. He wasn’t even supposed to be playing this year given his physical and mental condition yet he was forced to play. One thing is for sure tian is a really nice guy, given what I’ve seen in the documentary. It’s actually extraordinary that Fpx performed that well given the circumstances, just speaks to their abilities as players that they were able to do what they did this year.

yeah, like you say, given all these latent problems that seemed to exist, Nuguri's lack of integration, tian's state, crisp's health problems, it's incredible that they were as dominant as they were ending the summer split and had such high expectations on them coming into worlds. I almost get the sense that winning was covering up the issues, and as soon as they stopped winning (summer finals) it all collapsed (worlds implosion)

DoinB is a true leader. Carried his teammates in game and off stage. There’s a reason he way more valuable than just a lane dominant midlaner

Crazy seeing the difference from this team and EDG. I like to compare it to my own as well. Nuguri not being able to speak or have any connections feels like a huge red flag. I remember when Mickeylol and Expect played in the LEC. They often struggled to fully express themselves because of the language barrier!

You know what this series shows that I really appreciate? Just how passionate and dedicated everyone is. Not just the players. The orgs, their support staff, the coaches, fans. It’s just nice to see everyone giving a shit. I just don’t get that same feeling with the NA Series I’ve seen.

This episode really showed how much of a beast EDG coaching staff are, unfortunately fpx’s management team just didn’t have the same eloquence when delivering speeches. They seem to be depressed and lost with the players after defeats. Also allowing doinb to get sick before a final is such an amateurish error, they had in house cooks yet he managed to get sick off of delivery

Yeah its kinda insane that DoinB and Tian were the teams morale support and not the support staff. The general manager seems pretty nice, but where are the coaches???. Steak and others it seems are totally absent from the team environment, rather than edgs coaches who grew with the players over the season and formed solid bonds with their players.

@@alleng9752 Steak is not a motivational speaker, but, since he joined the LPL, except for 2 bad runs with RW and LNG, he always ended in the top 4 in playoffs or regular season, most times within top 3. You could blame him more for what happened with FPX at WC, because the coaching staff didn't help the team to read the meta right, when RNG got eliminated by 1 single loss, except for Uzi, the rest of the team didn't perform.

It's not just the coaching staff, but the Org as a whole. When Edward (team founder, owner) gave his speech and cried, it was so powerful. I think that kind of bond is what creates good orgs, you get these other monolithic corporate teams and they're so detached from the players, that even superteam rosters fail because they don't have that same trust and motivation.

The difference between Tarzan/Viper and Nuguri is night and day. Ever since spring final, we already knew Nuguri was a lil bit of a problem, I thought ehh he will learn in summer, but it got worse. Nuguri made the right decision to go back to Korea again. Tian had been struggling with his mentality for so long he came back with "full recovery", the performance in both summer and Worlds were expected from him but holy shit it was the worst. I have never seen a top jungle duo from Tian and Nuguri. But draft gap was big. Everyone just had to shit talking Doinb after what he has done to this team. He had to do almost everything for the team and im surprised that his mentality is still stable in every game, but he couldnt hold his tears any longer then proceed to cry out loud occasionally and said something like "of course, im tired.". This year Worlds meta might not be on his side, but there is no doubt that he is the main reason why FPX was able to even fought until every finals. Whether Tian or Nuguri was the problem, everything happened just sucks. Lets not blame them anymore

Imo, playing in fpx (lpl) is the problem and that caused his mental issues I think if he stay in lck but join another team and lost in quarter-final in worlds it he wouldn't be stress like this. Synergy /environment / friends / atmosphere r the key factors , I don't see him as the problem fpx reach lpl final 2times they r good but not the best so I wanna blams Tian and misplay from botside than talk abt nuguri. Not going to talk abt worlds 2021 they absolutely under performed, WE could've make it to play-off.

@@Handlewwww he didn’t even try to integrate with his team at all, he’s at fault as well. Of course it’s going to be difficult to go play in a completely different country with a language barrier, but at least try to make an effort to learn the language and build synergy with your team, when I watched him just stay quiet not say anything even when tian was trying to speak with him, I was honestly disgusted by his attitude. I get that he’s a bit introverted but come on your getting paid big bucks at least try. Hearing stories of how he just blocked off everyone not even trying to listen just shocked me. In comparison to the other imports, Tarzan and viper, it seems like he didn’t try enough, and I’m not talking about grinding the game, because I know he did that, I’m talking about other factors like learning the language and building a relationship with teammates. Nuguri is not completely at fault here but damn at least try to synergy with your teammates. Ironically khan had the personality that would work for an import.

Super interesting to see how different teams deal with these issues. EDGs approach to working with Flandre and JieJie to FPXs on Nuguri and Tian. Don’t always see the impact of coaching or management and while this isn’t the full picture, cool to see a small glimpse of it as a viewer

It is so sad watching this episode. They are so sweet and caring towards each other. Tian, Doinb and Nuguri were going through a lot of pressure after earning their world champion titles, they are not the first one, Faker and SKT players were going through similar experiences. Hope that Tian and Nuguri will recover and come back. Faker managed to overcome this kind of obstacle so I believe they can do the same, no will do the same. The moment Nuguri held Tian's hand then walked on stage together was so sweet.

It feels almost inevitable for FPX to collapse after watching this. They had far too many issues to handle, but no one actually had any solution to them. Their jungler was on the brink of depression, and their Top refused to comply with the team. Their coaching staff feels more like babysitter and gave no constructive advice, and their manager kept pressuring them with those big buzz words and put all the blame to players themselves as if they didn't work hard enough. What makes it worse is that their strong performance in regular season made them overconfident and choose to neglect all the issues. Their implosion was simply a matter of time.

Oh no, Tian was worried about life regrets. The person speaking near the end about having few opportunities in life and either achieving them or experiencing immense pain kind of connected to that Oh wow, DoinB was so serious about being able to most probably definitely accomplish and perform this year, and DoinB became the Most Valuable Player of Spring Split 15:00 that was a ferocious hug from Ming to Crisp KFC before a big game? Oh, as Flanders from "The Simpsons" would say, scrum-diddly-umptious Oh womang, Nuguri seems to have been experiencing some turmoil; it reminds me of that Make / Break line about falling into the abyss, but Nuguri seemed to have rose like a Phoenix

FPX staff was night & day compared to EDG. FPX got a mom/fan instead of a team general or motivation speakers like those from EDG. Despite all the fruit plates and vitamins, multiple players have had poor physical or mental health. Doinb can only do so much.... I wish Doinb the best of luck with LNG and hopefully you don't need to carry so much and be able to focus on game play more with LNG! Doinb fighting!

Yeah so in light of Tian being a very bad teammate, I am even more annoyed with this video with it trying to give him the saviour role. They needed a scapegoat for their underperformance and Nuguri was the scapegoat. Completely disappointed. Even when he left DWG in 2021, his teammates had nothing bad to say about him and even in 2022, DRX Beryl, sent him a message wishing him well after retirement. This video’s narrative was already hard for me to believe but now I know that it’s complete BS.

Honestly, comparing this to EDG is just a staff diff. Coaches did everything wrong, especially this "manager" woman. She basically ruined everything by herself. Everything she did and said was wrong. Your players have personal issues with each other, they struggle from anxiety (or depression), they over-practice and get sick cuz of it. What did she do? She gave them verbal beatdown, told players they are all useless and need to practice even more. It even made Doinb feel guilty for all of this and try to fix things by himself. Wtf is this?

@@alleng9752 Even in 2021 Spring, he was a reason why FPX won during LPL Playoffs, when he didn't perform, like in the Spring and Summer Final, FPX didn't do that well. Tian gave an interview after the elimination, it was shared by LPL English, there you can see he's very practical, as long as he can fix those health problems, he'll probably make it.

Blaming the best player on the team at the Worlds is a ridiculous thing, Nuguri's Chinese is bad,but doinb and Tian's performance at the Worlds are incomprehensible, the failure of the mid-jug is the reason for their failure this year

Nuguri is still the problem, he can't fit in with the team. He dosen't even communicate with the team and just decide to shut himself up when they lose the game. Tian and others literally have to learn korean in order to cheer him up. I do agree doinb and tian do take some blame for the seaon. Tian's mental state is not stable, that's forgivable due to the immense pressure on him, but doinb is different. He simply can't play meta champs like zoe and leblanc. He often build tank on mid champs and lose the game in mid late game. His galio is all that's left and all the other team has to do is to put pressure on him in lane so he can't roam. Without Doinb's roam the others lanes can't live on their own
