People are quick to assume LPN school must be easy since it can be completed in a year. I think these same people should sit in a LPN classroom for a week and they will change their views on LPNs. 💡 Shoutout to all the LPN/LVNs out there 👋🏼

Right I ended up switching to the part time version of my LVN school cuz full time was very fast and difficult (so it’ll take around 2 years instead of one, but it’s still worth it, I’m glad part time was an even an option there)

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽I love being an LPN. I represent my three letters to the fullest!! I cried many days and nights because it wasn’t easy! But once you’re done, you reap the benefits of your hard work 😓

Currently, in this position. My professors that teach the RN program have even said that it is harder than RN school due to the constricted time and the amount of info thrown at us during this one year (no breaks). Both are tough but I know a lot of RN students look down on LPNs.

I’m from CA with 10+ years doing MDS making $100K+ a year- Here is a key -if you want to make money move around learn different skills, develop experience and get your certificate (MDS, case management, infection control, DSD) You will GOLD!

There are soooo many different factors that go into how much you make as an LPN like he said . I have 2 years of nursing experience here in Canada and I started out making 28$ an hour as staff nurse but I now make 40-50$ an hour working as an agency nurse . Awesome video! He really covered it all. ☺️

I’m busting a$$ in LPN school and whoa buddy! It’s definitely moving fast and the training wheels just came off last week! I’m still working 25-30hrs week & getting on average 3hrs of sleep each night! I’m going to crash n burn real hard if I keep up at this rate. Sundays are for studying and sleeping 🤣.. seriously though, props to all the nurses out there being the best you can be! I applaud you 👏🏻 ❤️👏🏻

Here in Northern Virginia, Homehealth LPN’s with only gtubes or trach experience make 24-26 dollars an hour and LPN’s with gtube, teach and ventilator experience make 27-32 dollars an hour.

Sarah can you please do a video over scope of practice. I am a new nurse, graduate in may 2020 when covid was hitting hard, passed my NCLEX first try, got my first job in women’s health, worked for 9 months until my dad passed from covid, quit and moved to deal with his estate, back to work now in progressive care, and I am struggling. I feel my nursing school didn’t prepare me regarding scope of practice and nursing intervention. I feel comfortable doing an assessment, passing meds, and charting, but when it comes to acting on changes in patient status, doing tasks as to not delay care before calling the doctor for orders, just knowing what I can or can’t do on my own intuition, I feel so lost. I am constantly asking others “what do I do” if my patient starts declining or there are certain orders to be completed, etc.

In Houston/Sugarland/Missouri city/Pearland/Katy with no experience all start at $23/hr. If you factor in experience it’s more of course. But I will say it’s looking like $25 will be the starting rate here soon. Covid-19 cases are on the rise.
