In my state, every bill filed must receive a public committee hearing and take public testimony (between 5000-8000) Granted, I've had to sit through 6-7 hour committee hearings waiting to testify.... Not in Michigan? Not every state?

We need more M.&M. !!! WELL DONE !!! HERE IS WHAT IS NOT RIGHT: we are currently in a place where there are a high number of toxic choices for humans to make sense of their world. We are on information overload and an abundance of sources. TRUST has been lost for how we navigate our lives, with everyone deeply committed to their bubble of information. Right now, compromise and coalescing is what is needed. We got to start dwindling down the talking heads to a specific few. Maybe some monthly roundtables of major players and professionals. We have to find something closer to one voice that speaks for the many. Mallory Mcmorrow fits that role. I hate the bible or at least the presenters of it. The bible has value in the right hands. There have not been but maybe a handful of people who truly can make sense of it. Nonetheless I digress. The bible refers to a time when we are having a barrage of language/information influx and overflow. Too many voices not enough unity. The bible end days have some merit just not every outcome. Humans can too easily today walk away from one another because of lost interdependence. We have created a world where we find ourselves super independent when INTERdependence is needed. If not recognized and dealt with, humans are going to start increasing the rate of slaughtering one another. So, how about some unity, clarity, full engagement and accountability.

The Democrats need more office holders like McMorrow. I’d come back to the party if they’d grow a backbone. I am amazed how anemic their reaction is to possibly losing the midterms. Get rid of those geriatric groups of Democrats who are protecting their fiefdoms and go out energize the base. I am 85, so I recognize the impairments of old age. Thank you for the interview and I’d vote for Mallory if I could.

Mallory would make a good Speaker of the US House of Representatives, IMHO. It takes a woman of real strength. Speaker Pelosi is a great strong woman with moxie. She started in a group with mostly all men and she was among just 4(?) women of 435 members. The men teased her, demeaning and condescending to her. I do believe it's much easier today in the congress for women; however, Mallory is tenacious and can fight the good hard battle!

The 2018 Democratic Party effort to recruit women for the House and Senate. As Nancy Pelosi has said, it is very difficult for women of child bearing years to participate in government. But it is important. And you get to have fun embarrassing the old white guys about amending the rules so babies can be on the floor during session. (Tammy Duckworth) ;-)

As a german senior who cruised the states no ten years ago a dozen times by RV and thereby lived nearly 12 month in 45 of the states I follow US politics since last presidential election nearly every day. My conclusions: Capitalism is against education to solidarity. US history of unions shows how capitalism got labor movement under control. To reduce women's rights is one of the most effective acts to hold people under fear and get them economical tied up. Many churches play a definitely negative role against free minds. The understanding of "freedom" often can be compared with "liberalism" of the slave holders. It's very difficult to tell a lot of citizens what the european understanding of "Solidarity" and political responsibility for "healthy" communities in all directions is. We have similar problems here. No wonder: capitalism works the same way all over the world. But we have not weapons of war in private possession and our politicans are accountable to their parties local organizations. At least: majorities govern! Mostly as coalitions of 2 - now 3 - of the 5 democratic parties. We don't understand the craziness of filibuster. How long may it need to understand the hesitation of the Democrats? Are you aware of the great danger to lose your country to brainless procreated autoriethanism so you don't end to be quiet to all this crazy theater capitalism is producing?
