Good point on solder. Mechanical joints are temperature proof. Shrink wrap it and the corrosion bugs can't get between the copper conductors and the ring terminal. Down to earth salty video, keep it up .

The dies are marked in metric area. That was actually what brought me here. Metric wire measure doesn't cross over to AWG exactly.

Good crimpers, do a great job at a great price. The lug hole/cable size, is often stamped on the tab of the lug and should match the number on the dies....it's in metric sizes...not awg 00...0, 1 etc. If they dont quite crimp well on the first time you can loosen off and turn the cable + lug 60° then crimp again, also doubling up the crimp sites next to each other works well for extra grip ....this also neatens up any parts squished between the dies, if you started with a die that was too small. Once you've done the above, if theres still a grip issue you can go down one size of die and repeat as above...heatshrink it then done.... If you're really picky, solder after the solid crimping then heatshrink👍

Good review and editing! That looks like a very decent tool for the price.

Liked your video. Cracked me up more than once. Thank you. FYI I think it's shit off the boat from India. Same diff.

I think it's worth the $40. Even better to find one on CL or in a pawn shop for $20 though. Of course I don't do a lot if crimping battery cables. I'm a solder guy, but mostly I think my heat shrink holds everything together just fine and dandy

I needed this vid, bought a few large case 3g with cables way too long and never botthered to research how to shorten them. Only $40 too..score. thanks bud. Edit I wonder if they make a tool to crimp these with a 20 ton shop press. That may be even easier as most of us have a HF one.
