Hi dear, thank you very much to expended your time to show us a very important tool. I have been searching long time to buy a set, so Amazon selling Temco Hydraulic Cable Lug Crimper TH0006 V2.0, its come with 18 dies, but for a Chinese tool is very pricey. Nobody did this test before, I believe so...I'm looking for a set comes with 9 dies at least. By the way as a Hvac Mechanical Contractor, I have my nephew Eric, exactly your young helper....feed him, and he'll do a lots for you. Thanks mate God's bless you and your family through this difficult times.

Cool first man I see to pull em apart. Got one from Northren T. I sometimes use the dies revers to flatten parts. I've fixed cables on riding mowers, made button or stop ends on rods. I've even reshaped some dies for special stuff. Units with more dies may be worth the extra $.

OK I cannot thank you enough for making that video!! I’m about to swage a threaded stainless steel fitting on my jeep JK emergency brake handle to give me adjustment that jeep never gave it for the emergency brakes. And you just proved that that will work can’t thank you enough. I happen to have a 12 ton hydraulic swagger Just curious how many tons tool you were using? I’m also going to be using 5/32 cable. Anyway, thank you again.
@hillbillyrv Жыл бұрын
I don’t think it was measured in tonage, but I am still using it. I haven’t broken it yet.

so what die would you use for 1/4" cable and what was the size of the cable you used for your demonstration. GREAT VIDEO, VERY INFORMATIVE.
@hillbillyrv6 ай бұрын
I don’t remember for sure about the cable size. I would suggest buying a couple of extra ferules and a little extra cable and experiment to get the best results.

Here’s a question, do you crimp your own hydraulic hose fittings? And if so, what crimper do you use for those lippert jic fittings? I’ve bought two hydraulic crimpers now and neither has dies small enough. Would love to know what you use/do. Tired of getting them made locally.
@hillbillyrv3 жыл бұрын
I may have had to get 3-4 hoses made in my whole career, so I just get them made locally. Back in the day some of those small hoses had screw on ends. If the hose was busted near the end you could just remove the end, cut the hose off and reattach the end. They were awesome.
