I went there in November 2 years ago and it was fairly empty. We kept doing Tron and Pirates as there was no wait time and I absolutely loved Pirates, the technology is insane and makes you feel like you are sinking into the deep sea. So amazing. The castle is also incredible, just huge! Without the crowds it was awesome, not sure how much the crowds take away from the experience.

I personally love the steampunk Tomorrowland in Paris but the way they’ve done Tomorrowland in Shanghai seems so awesome! It has a really cool look. Tron really does seem amazing! It’s so exciting. Yay for the aliens on Buzz! It’s good that the guns were good and responsive :) The castle is gorgeous! Very unique. So glad you did pirates blind. I was blown away when I first saw it. I want to go to Shanghai just to go on that ride. Food being on display is really a great idea. Sometimes seeing what you’re going to get makes choosing so much easier. Those drinks look so cute and I love the popcorn buckets too! The Winnie the Pooh ride seemed really well done but would you say the one in Japan is your fave? I think I’d have to prepare myself for the cues and the cue jumping. It seems so rude to me but if that’s the only downfall then it’s not so bad. How exciting to eat in the castle! It seems so lovely in there! The food really seems epic to look at. The attention to detail is incredible! I’m sorry you didn’t find it so good to eat. All the characters were so wonderful! Daisy and Donald were hilarious. Lol! All the merch! So much merch! The hotel is so wonderfully themed. So much fun!

This is so exciting to see DL Shanghai...the first vlog I've seen. Thank you. So much familiar and yet all new! You must have been so thrilled. Lunch in the castle: they had the best outfits! Mickey is so marvelous with a crown (he should wear one all the time!). I even loved Daisy's outfit (and normally don't care much for her.)

Wow! What an amazing park and the Cast Members are so lovely! I love that they hand out stickers! I think all the Disneyparks except Disneyland Paris do this? I wish DLP would do this too... It's just such a little thing but it can mean so much! Lucky, you got Stitch! I love Stitch!!! I loved your reactions after Tron and Pirates. So honest and so happy. That castle though.... I must admit, I'm not a huge fan of the outside, Paris' one is still the most beautiful one, but the inside of the Shanghai one....wow! Amazing how many rides you already got done before 9 am even. I think I prefer Shanghai's 'Patrick' though ... haha :p Oh that Stella Lou cup is sooooo cute! I'm not the biggest Duffy fan but I do love Stella Lou(I've always had a soft spot for rabbits :) that's probably why.) That doesn't sound nice, those queue-situations. I hate when people do that. :s AAWWWW that Chip and Dale Easter statue. Omg, so cute! Aaaahhhh Gelatoni and Stella Lou! omg....I can't cope, cuteness overload! :-)

Loved watching your vlog! The new designated hotel guest entrance looks amazing. When I was there in 2016 staying in the Toy Story Hotel I sometimes had to wait over an hour to get through security in the morning!! Also you mentioned how everything is quite expensive, I also noticed that. For example I think a 500ml bottle of Pepsi in the parks was 30 yuan which is ~£3, whereas if you go to a corner shop in Shanghai you could buy Pepsi for 3 yuan = ~30p!! A 10x price hike inside the parks! I visited with a Chinese friend and she was shocked at how expensive things inside the parks were!

Watching this for the second time in Dec 2020. I still have not visited Shanghai Disney but hopefully, I will get to soon. I speak very minimal Mandarin (probably at a Primary 1 or 2 level) and it is still weird to hear the Green Aliens speak Mandarin!!! In the video before the Buzz Lightyear ride, they were saying "we are so grateful to you forever"! So cute.

I would prefer this meal to the meals in the US parks, but that's because I'm Japanese-American so it is more in keeping with my palate. I'm sorry that it wasn't your cup of tea, but glad the character interactions were good. It is so odd that people were pushing in the lines and such! Tokyo is so respectful; courtesy for others and care of common spaces is ingrained in the culture. I'm surprised to see that doesn't translate to Shanghai. We're often seen as the "rude Americans," but honestly plowing over someone with a small child takes the cake! Thanks for keeping me sane during this NYC quarantine that shows no sign of ending.

The Toy Story hotel looks brilliant, that photo op looked cool. The sky on the hotel reminds me of the Toy Story wallpaper. Tron looks amazing what a queue line and what a ride, wonder how it will compare with WDW. Beautiful castle, it looks very wide but very pretty. What a photo op in front of the castle. Awesome vlog. Love it. Can't wait to see the merch haul! Also, when I was there in March, I did not experience any line cutting, even though I was super prepared for it. I didn't go on many rides that had lines, used Express Pass and Single Rider the whole time, so this was probably why. And I saw a whole giant bunch of balloons float away during the parade. Guy must have lost his grip, cause I didn't see anybody hanging off the bottom Mary Poppins style.

Have you seen people selling fake mickey ears in the queue? We were there in December 2017 and there were plenty. I've even had one surprise me in the restroom, it was only one design the red dotted bow. I could tell it was popular because a LOT of people were wearing it. The people jumping in queues was really frustrating, no one got in front of us though we were prepared to guard our spot lol.
