Rock Crawling Challenge - Perentie vs 80 Series

A 4x4 rock crawling challenge between a Toyota 80 Series on 37 inch Bias Ply Maxxis Trepadors and a Land Rover 110 Perentie X-Army on 35 inch Radial Maxxis Treps. Both 4wd's are twin locked with experienced drivers making easy work of the difficult Suzuki Hill at Menai NSW Australia.

Thanks for the great video as always ,the underbody protection must be stout ,especially the tail shafts ,they both take a beating every week .Did the Parentie get new new diff covers this trip ,that truck is just so capable now ,imagine a auto in it.Cheers.

An auto would be amazing in it. The tailshafts are definitely vulnerable and we try not to hit them. Yeah underbody protection is a must for this sort of stuff.

Really an high grip rocks location ! Land Rover pickup having less weight on the back has had generally less difficulties on this kind of steps !

Cdl is basically how a constant 4wd goes into true 4wd. Cdl splits the power 50/50 front and rear.

Perentie guy is got alzhemeirs, he forgot there exists an accelerator, awesome climb , rather he idled up. Landcrusier , ohhh lord. Assuming the perentie is 4bd1 and the 80 series is the 4.2 diesel..
