It reminds me of Warcraft 3 where Sylvanas Windrunner was the first line of defense, and then when she lost, she just ran away and became the second line of defense also (she died this time)

Rampage, for whatever reason, doesn't count the _first_ blocker. It's +X/+X for each blocker beyond the first. The dogs are more like Bushido, but only on blocked not on blocking.

I remember Magic: Origins. The only drafts I ever won. The origins Chandra and Nissa were great, plus I pulled the Jace one from a booster at the height of their price and after playing an FNM evening with it, sold it and used that to pay for 2 Prerelease events and a Draft.

"Is this the last time they printed regenerate?" Short answer, no. Post-Magic Origins Regenerate cards include two Eldrazi and an Eldrazi-themed instant (but nonetheless NOT Kindred) from the Battle for Zendikar block, one Phyrexian from MH3 Commander, and the already-mentioned Wolverine. The classic "destroy, can't be regenerated" effect was last printed on a new card with MH2's Damn, a card with a very fun name.

It's weird to me that this isn't the first time *recently* that Graham has meant Bushido instead of Rampage.
@Mordalon20 күн бұрын
he's half right. Rampage, like this ability, only works on attackers that are blocked, it's just like Bushido in that it triggers on the first blocker and not additional blockers.

It truly is tragic how our society punishes any excellence by accepting it as the norm as soon as it's reached - to the point I am reminded of it while thinking of card game mechanics. On a more fun note - Cruel Revival is actually a reprint all the way back from Onslaught, and you know Regenerate was certainly a thing back then!
