Nobody is being specific about the magical "lane management" that he somehow screwed up and led to a top dive (even though Blaber just straight fed). I'm hearing lots of talk about this magical lane management that somehow prevents wave rebounds from ever occurring but that no-one can explain.

It's not bad at all man, unfortunately once you hit around low diamond (at least) you really get hit with a truck by how all of your little mistakes will fuck your team. Sure, it's not as bad in low elo because people can die like 10x a game and still win, meanwhile, you'll notice with high elo streams, usually the death count is way lower and people capitalize and end games off of just 2 deaths in lane. Which is why a lot of your challenger streamers may see their teammates get 3x deaths in lane and go "gg" that's not just, anger talking, it's legit around the threshold of "Okay, their laner isn't gonna make mistakes with that kind of lead". Once you get into organized pro play, especially with Korea, and some Chinese teams, you don't have to die at all. You can just give over lane pressure for an instant and they'll walk all over you with the lead that they acquire just controlling your wave and roaming to ensure your team suffers from your micro mistake. Dismal isn't quite the word for it, but it is quite literally at a level of play that a lot of people outside of that higher elo can hardly see. Once you have casters like LS or even sometimes IWD looking at games, they'll tell you straight up "0 deaths or not, you fucked your team.". Unfortunately at this level of play, going "even" isn't enough. "Passive" players and "Aggressive" players don't exist. It's either an opportunity comes and you capitalize on it, or you're bad.

The analysis throughout was amazing. It’s definitely really unfair how the casters towards the end said mid held up just fine when the way mid played lead to getting jungle and top screwed. That aside, it’s really sad to see this is the best C9 can offer at the international stage. I really hope NRG has something creative and innovative to keep NA alive just a little longer in Swiss because I do not see a world where C9 has any kind of good gameplay after losing this badly and giving an inconsistent T1 a close to perfect game.

Except his analysis is flawed? Should Emenes have kept pushed up more? Maybe, but when LS mentioned sylas is ahead in farm, Ori was also killing the wave sylas had already (which seemingly Emenes allowed to happen) meaning in realistic actual terms orianna was like ~5cs up. Also even with the invase, sure maybe blaber loses camp but he coulda just walked away instead of staying and being forced to base and burn flash. If blaber just left he could have easily prevented the top dive and the snowball. Sylas analysis blaming Emenes just seems so flawed and like he wants to be a contrarian for the sake of jt

This is incorrect analysis by LS. Emenes missed 2-3 cs by 3:30 (22/25 possible cs). Faker had dominant jungle presence which prevented extremely aggressive pressure by Emenes, and was using explosives perk to help with cs that would not normally be possible. Then when Emenes forced the back on Faker, he said Emenes was even with Sylas when it was clear that there was a rebound wave with like 10 minions coming that would put Emenes in the lead. Super shallow and incorrect analysis - I think he was just looking to flame Emenes. If Emenes played "perfectly" with the setup he was given up to the top dive, he would likely only be up a few extra cs only, which is negligible

Bruh just watch the post-game interviews with keria after the c9 match. They've been planning on many off meta picks beforehand hence the Bard. They doubted it at first that's why they're trying to play along the meta the first two games, the reason why they're shaky. It's good to know now thay they're not doubting the strategy they planned ahead of worlds and will be sticking to it that started against c9 by picking bard. It always baffles me how people don't realise that broadcasts will NEVER talk trash about anyone playing. If someone completely griefs and ints, then the broadcast will literally say that it was a great play by the enemy in some regard, so of course C9 won't get called out for their mistakes on the main broadcast.... This was why people like Caedrel and LS and Vedius are very refreshing in terms of commentary because they just say that people are griefing when they are griefing, instead of bailing them out.

Sorry, but this analysis was completely inaccurate by LS. Emenes was incorrectly isolated as the issue in this game by LS. He clearly was not. If you watch closely, there were no impactful errors with how he played the lane up to the point of the top dive (which I consider as the checkmate). The lost raptors was not the fault of Emenes (Blaber could have secured them before the invade), and it was insignificant. Even the ridicule about his CS was unfounded, ignoring the fact that there was a full wave stacked up (faker is also using the charges in his inventory to help with csing so the difference doesn't look as big as it would be in the beggining). [3:30] By my count, there should be around 25~ CS total by 3:30 (without early access to the next wave), which means Emenes only missed 2-3 cs.... LS is being stupid here. Faker has just done a good job of limiting poke while he's csing, threatening jungle advantage to reduce pressure, and using satchel charges for cs he can't get normally. [3:40] Despite the Jungle pressure gap, Emenes IS doing his job. Faker poked low enough that he is forced to back. We don't see it on camera, but Emenes' new minion wave likely started taking tower shots allowing faker to clean up the rest of the wave, send a rebound wave to Emenes, and back/TP. [3:50] Emenes locked into a rebound wave (backing with faker doesn't look like a good option here since he would hardly get any resources back and wouldn't solve the issue of lane priority) + Blaber prioritizes the Gromp when he could have gone to Raptors first [4:20] Ori is 7 minions ahead here, Blaber sees the effect from the sight orb indicating J4 is pushing on his golems. Instead of aggroing the golems from a range and pulling them into a safer position, he moves to melee range and gets engaged on by Jarvan. That was all it took to end the game. The issue was clearly incredibly weak top/jungle "counterpicks" which resulted in an abysmal margin for error on Blaber's side. The core issues that lead to the loss were: • Picking Jax into Rumble created instability in the early laning phase that needed to be intelligently picked and played around. • With J4 and Rumble revealed, C9 (Blaber's decision?) picked Bel Veth. With the team picking into a significant lane disadvantage on top (+J4) meant they were likely to encounter aggressive plays on top side; Champions with tankiness and skirmish potential are ideal for defending against agression. Despite this, they picked another squishy scaling champion with limited CC options: Bel Veth. • With the Bel Veth pick, Blaber had close to zero margin for error to successfully defend the top side aggression, and due to not using proper safety protocol (and jungle camp priorities) while J4 was clearly hunting for him (raptors, then sight orb), Blaber was pushed out of the top defence. The absentminded stroll up to golems resulted in a guaranteed top dive - and the win. TLDR: Real problem was: • Pre game: terrible top and jungle "counterpicks". Jax was bad, but Bel Veth... • In-game: Blaber. Period. (although, it was an extremely unstable draft, so one bad trade with Jarvan was game over)

EMENES didn't thin the wave out, which is inexcusable given that he had that much mana. Please c9 stop putting Zven on engage supports and stop putting fudge on renekton or jax, and please pick Leblanc for emenes, put Blabber on Maokia or Olaf anything that can engage without dying in 2 secs like velveth what the fuck are c9 thinking. We have to play comfort for c9 next match. After this stomp by t1 c9 needs some reflection on these picks and go back to what your players are comfortable playing. C9 is out of options at this point. As a c9 fan I had hoped we came out strong, we beat mad, but against Asia gaming our players melt, and have no idea what is going on and forget how to play to their strengths. I hate this draft so much that my confidence in this team has greatly diminished and I have lost all hope at beating a lpl or Lck team. It's rather sad the skill gap should never be this big on the world's stage, please c9 for the love of God pull yourselves together. At least give a better showing than NRG because to me it seems like they have a better shot at making it out than c9 cuz they look like they're going home with moldy swiss cheese.

Context of the lane is that sylas had 1 more cs at the time when orianna had one more eave to recieve so in reality ori was ~5 cs up. Blaming ori on this is crazy cause they should have expected j4 to be top jingle too and not burned the flash.
