I don't even like drifting and frankly do not understand it enough. Of course Cleetus brought me here and now I find myself watching a 45min drift comp video time after time. Taylor and the builds keep me here as it feels like you're just hanging out with a friend working on a project together. His overall attitude and positivity radiates and genuinely helps me forget real world problems, thank you for that 🤙

Thing with lz is now he's getting bigger as a name and business he's slowly doing less and less filming while working on the cars etc and like you said, you need deep pockets to do what lz is doing, where as Taylor is so down to earth he does things that's is easier for majority of people, learnt so much since I started watching Taylor

They are completely different sorts of youtubers now . Lz is a business that uses KZbin to advertise and will show more car builds once they have the new shop actually set up but its more of a lifestyle Channel where as tray is more of a guy who youtubes to support his car habits. Tray could probably grow to the same level as lz but that doesn't seem to be his buzz

Speaking of "a viewer sent this a long time ago" did you get rid of your old P.O. box? I sent some stuff a while ago (since your last mail opening video when you were roommates with Ben) and I was wondering if it ever made it there or just got lost.
To make the cut even more seamless for the “into the smoke-out of the smoke” transition, you might be able to morph/blend the two tracks for a few frames. It’s called “Morph Cut” for PP or “Smooth Cut” in Resolve. Differences in exposure and iso might make it tricky, but it’d help make the transition extra smoooooth.

@pastaalalamborghini3 жыл бұрын
seriously, dude preaching reliability but still has rubber lines on a car running ethanol... i just hope hes checking those filters before each round of comp. clogged filters due to known incompatible fuel lines would be a bone headed way to fuck up a comp hes currently killing. seems like an oddly stupid risk to me ... especially considering hes replaced lines already due to past issues... i dont get why he didnt replace all his fuel lines and just did some.

Taylor, I gotta tel ya, your trunk layout is freaking amazing. I bet the weight of that big battery andhold down ( which everyone should run ) and the fuel surge tank when full offset each other pretty well. The sump system dead center, brilliant. My father was an old school drag racer. He always said “I’d rather have a bigger motor with more power, that’s barely breathing hard, than a smaller one that’s screaming it’s balls off”. Keep doing exactly what you do. Loving all the builds. Big Scott from Long Island, NY. 🤙🏼😈✌🏻

Taylor if you get a T56 into the Miata or you can do it in the FC RX-7 since you run a T56 in it and you could convert it to sequential with a company called S1 Sequential Conversion for $1100 because of the way the gear linkage works, you can make a stock trans full Sequential and save so much abuse on your transmission and you'll never money shift or misshifts. Rob Parsons aka Chairslayer from Hoonigan actually made it first cuz he had to clutch, shift, throttle, both braking and handbrake all only his hands and fingers cuz he's paralyzed but still shreds I'm sure you've seen or heard of him before. Shit he may he even give it to you to you but you'd have to buy a sequential shift handle but if you can get em cheaper from Rob do it but S1 gives you everything you need to do the conversion

I hope things are making progress on closing the shop in, but thought that in the wait time you could use something like a shade sail, that would let air through but would block UV and leaves from coming into the shop... use them to cover the sides for now and later reuse thme on some posts for some protection for the trailers. Keep up the great work, always enjoy your videos

Ever considered buying another Miata chassis, and building it with the lessons learned from the one you have? Start with a fresh shell, then transfer/refresh/refurb the components from the old chassis into the new one? That is how I did my last one, and it worked out really well as I was able to modify a few things for install, do a ton of cleaning/maintenance on components, and correct a few things I wasn't happy with when swapping "shells."
