Looking back at this it's actually sad that we never got more. LS always advocated for those kinds of drafts but he also tried to convince teams to go for LCK academy talent and elohelled superstars like Summit. Sucks that those two concepts of running a team seemingly clashed. Makes me wonder how the Fudge/Blaber/Nemesis lineup would have worked out given that both sololaners would commit

Agreed, Im going back to watch the vods/reactions to these games here and there because its just so different from normal comps... If every team had their own draftstyle like this or 2019 G2, league would actually be fun to watch regardless of the nameplates...

Quite glad to see LS drafts in LCS, makes for quite enjoyable games regardless of how one feels about his way of seeing the game though it feels like all of this is only possible cause of Fudge willingness to play all this unconventional picks. I dont see this kind of draft being possible in over 90% of the teams in lol esports.

There have been metas that abuse heals and shields in the past and it's not very exciting at all for me to see them work lol. I like that they are using draft well but the comps they are doing it with are kinda meh to watch.

How refreshing was it to see a draft where the casters didn't know exactly what was coming. Every game there are basically 1 or 2 possible picks at every point and it gets so old. Draft was great and the gameplay was fresh too

Whether you are a fan of LS or not - and I am - having him at the helm of a staple NA franchise makes the LCS 100x more interesting to watch. Root for him or root against him, he's got you rooting. Good job C9 making that move.

If all goes well during scrims and the regular season just think on how many permutations and flex picks C9 will be able to inject in the draft once Fudge/Winsome and to a lesser extent Summit learn to play enchanters and other non traditional picks at an adequate level. It'll be impossible to really predict what comp will be locked in which makes drafting a minefield for the opposing team. Any edge you can get in a scaling comp during the draft just makes your life much easier when the game actually goes live. We know they aren't there at all currently because Fudge said he's been playing Ivern for only 3 days in internal scrims and had not even touched Soraka for 2 years before literally going on a mini 1v1 Soraka vs Viktor matchup bootcamp on game day with LS and the C9 academy mid.

It only worked because of it being wildcard. That type of stuff almost never works in the long run if the opponents have any semblance of a brain. Then again, it's NA, so having a brain and basic critical thinking is a tall order.

It feels like cloud9 is the only team in the west that actually knows what it’s doing. Like for real having a plan, all being on the same page and being able to trust them to figure it out. Rogue is unbeaten, but still it looks like it’s cause its early spring split. They pick what works rn. I’m not saying they are bad. I just mean that it still looks like this could easily change once they have to actually coordinate new things that they don’t know just because they are good players. Cloud 9 (except summit 😂) looks like they already agreed on everything due to ls having picked them as players. They proved that they can work on a certain strat/thing together and executing it.

he would, if its good in response to enemy draft. LS is willing to draft champions like olaf, renekton, gnar, etc if they are good picks, but most teams pick these champions in bad spots so he says it sinner.

He considers first pick rene/gnar sinning but r5ing them in certain situations where they can excel is fine. You're still sinning...but you're sinning less than the enemy team so it's fine

@@hansimgluck6789 ornn and sion can eventually outlive a Renek, and trundle can beat him if you waste his dash cd with a well timed pillar, or use it to buffer the stun..but Renek is an early game bully. Gnar is just the safest pick cuz he can poke him safely with all the move speed his hyper w passive gives him, can clear minions with his Q from a good distance if there's a jungle nearby, and if Renek oversteps or makes a mistake gnar can absolutely murder him with those %based health procs and grasp heals. Personally I think renek is horrible into double enchanter teams but how would they have guessed they'd take an ivern. XD

What the fuck 2:17, its not even 2 minutes into the game, lane has barely started and dom goes "I think its impossibe for c9 to win anymore", jeeeez how tunnelvision and slightly toxic mind can one have? I´m baffled. As a low master soloq support player it looks great from c9. Sona is every enchanters counter, pros in worlds just didnt pick her. Gnar is a soft counter to renek, the mid matchup nobody knows about, and kinda same about the jungle. To me this looked c9 favored.
