This is our 1964 Chevy II born as a 6 cylinder with a power glide. Now it's an LS swapped pavement pounder! Gen IV 5.3 Liter LMG from a 2014 Chevy Suburban with 110k miles. A rebuilt and converted 1996 Trans Am T56 6 speed manual with a dual disk RST Mcleod Clutch, and a Hurst Short throw shifter. With a 9" Ford out back and a 4.56 gear. She runs nice and cool thanks to our Meziere Enterprises WP333N electric water pump on that sweet little LS we put together. The motor is controlled by Holley Performance Terminator X and tuned by me.... for what that's worth, it runs really well and makes great power! Coming from someone with very little experience tuning (I used HP Tuners on the LS swapped S10) The Holley is much more user friendly, simpler, and easier to work with. We built a Gen IV LMG cast iron 5.3 Liter from a suburban (flat tops w/valve reliefs) for the Chevy II. It's a stock short block other than the ported Tick Performance oil pump and a Chinese copy of the Holley Muscle car swap pan. I hand Ported a set of 243 heads and they got a set of Brian Tooley Racing Platinum .660 springs, titanium retainers, and new locks. I put Summit Racing bronze trunnion bushing upgrade in the stock rocker arms. We used BTR Head gaskets with .051 compression thickness. Slid an awesome almost 3/4 race cam in their Tick Performance The legendary Tick Polluter V2 Max effort LS1 cam SH003, and yes it works great! Sounds even better! Might be too much cam for a 9.6:1 325ci 5.3 Liter but let's be honest there's no such thing as too much cam! As long as things that aren't supposed to touch... don't touch. The motor got a set of Delphi LS7 lifters and a nice set of Tick Performance 7.4" push rods. To finish it all off we topped it with a beautiful American Flag painted LS6 intake with a ported stock throttle body and 36lb flex fuel injectors. The noise is made with a set of Doug's Headers Fender well LS swap 1962-67 Chevy II headers JBA Speed Shop, then some exhaust I built Flowmaster 10 series mufflers 3". The power is sent to the ground with McLeod Racing Clutches RST dual disk clutch, on the front of a T56 6 speed manual. Then a custom built 3" aluminum drive shaft from Panhandle Driveline in Milton, Florida. We've got a narrowed 9" Ford out back with a pile of good stuff Moser Engineering including- 35 spline axles, nodular iron 3rd member, 4.56 gears, and a Detroit wave track locker.
