Oil pan arrived and the steel plates for the motor mounts are here. Now the fitting and welding can start.

Years ago a friend of mine built one he used a Range Rover Aluminum V8 because they are compact and lightweight. He put euro plastic bumpers from Europe...

remote oil filter

No need to remote this oil filter. Oil filter sits into a notch made into the oil pan.
